P6070035: Photo: Shift to Bikes!. 2007 Pedalpalooza in Portland, Oregon starts off with a Kick - a Kick off Parade. I went with a Summer of Bike Love "Petal Power" theme - as did others. Afterwards, The night of the Living Donut Ride eased our sweet-tooths.
A unique public art display to showcase a rotation of original works by regional artists in an urban setting, The Art Box at North Hills is a collaboration between North Hills and the NCMA. The collaboration features regional and NC art and share information about NCMA exhibitions and program opportunities with the community. The Art Box is open on the ground level of the Bank of America Tower, at the corner of Six Forks and Dartmouth Roads.
The current installation will last 12 months and features Maya Freelon’s commissioned work, Shifting Seasons.
Shifting Seasons is a site-specific, kinetic installation made completely out of tissue paper. As the title suggests, the artwork will change throughout the year encouraging the public to revisit North Hills and witness the evolution of her artwork.

Paul Jensen on Limbo was the winner of the Shifting Rock Trophy for his, what is the Navy expression, "navigational uncertainty" during the Thermopylae Cup race off the Dallas Road waterfront, near the foot of Cook Street.

1st one from left: 1 stop raito,
middle one : 2 stop ratios,
Right : 3 stop ratio.
All at f/5.6, but increase shuttler speed by one stop each for the dramatic effect.

So this was my second test for stop animation using tilt shift, I went to a higher area to make the tilt shift work better. I took a series of 80 photos for this animation.
I would prefer if this was faster, but i couldn't get faster than 0.1 seconds using iMovie. I'd like to get it at a fast pace like Keith Loutit, www.keithloutit.com
For my next test i will do a shoot in town of the people walking round.
The sun rises and still, you can see the ecliptic plane with Mars, Jupiter and Saturn ; you can also see the North Star. Looking at this, it's actually possible to feel how everything is moving in space and then, when the sun rises, you can sense the Earth shifting towards the sun, progressively lighting the canyons like candles. Yeah, feel that little human.
