Interesting fact... at its height (2nd Century AD) approximately 20% of the entire population of this planet were subject to the rule of Rome. Another 20% were subjects of the Han dynasty in China.

Tilt Shift? Not my picture, but his... His (David Roark, perhaps) camera was taking apx 1 frame per second. which caught my attention... So I HAD to ask if he was making another tilt shift mini movie like the one that appeared on the Disney blog a short while ago of Magic Kingdom! Only this one is EPCOT! He gave me a big smile, wink and a hushhh finger to his mouth. :) I guess this is me not hushing. October 22, 2009

This filled me with Glee as the first one is so enjoyable! YAY!
My first attempts at mica shift, which was achieved by using rubber stamps. The "shift" in the mica particles from stamping makes these pieces look like they have depth & texture, but they are actually flat & smooth. Sanded with wet/dry sandpaper 400-1500 grit and then buffed with denim. These will become necklace pendants & earrings.

In my naivety I have only just realised the wonderment of "Tilt and Shift" ...here's my first attempt

Honestly on any other day I would call this a fantastic haul but I was hyper focused on finding ANY Action Man figures that I can’t help but feel disappointed.
ANYWAY I visited like two big Savers and a few thrift stores and I found a few things. First off is this “Small Scale Harry Potter” doll by Tonner I found for $5, and I really love the clothing but the doll has a few ink stains here and there, and I’m not a big fan of Tonner’s…. gormish head sculpts.
I also found one of the last Fashion Fever Lea dolls I’ve been wanting as well as this Millie sculpt doll with jointed knees.
And lastly, for $20 I found this bag with a pink toned Skipper straight leg doll wearing “Sunny Pastels” (missing everything but the dress), a Rock Flowers doll and a Dawn doll. Skipper’s head and arms need to be re pinked but considering you can’t even find a vintage Skipper for under $20 including shipping I’m so glad I found her.
(but argh, where are you action man)
