La fotografÃa Tilt-Shift es una técnica artÃstica donde el lente esta doblado o movido con respecto a la cámara.
Esto produce un efecto donde ciertas partes de la foto están borrosas y produce el beneficio de que se concentra la visión del espectador en las partes de la imagen que se quiere enfatizar.
El fotógrafo Vincent Laforet del periódico NY Times utilizo este tipo de técnica para crear una serie de fotos de eventos deportivos con una perspectiva única y sin igual.
Esta técnica puede ser replicada modernamente utilizando el dispositivo Lensbabies o mediante Photoshop.

My try on a fake tilt shift attempt considering how I do not have the real TS-E lens just yet. Hopefully it does give you the miniature effect I was hoping for.

Not really tilt-shift since I don't own that kind of equipment, but I think i got a pretty good result with Photoshop. Took the picture in Bangkok in January 2008.
