A Metroline Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LH on Route 260 comes past a Superloop Metroline MCV EvoSeti bodied Volvo B5LH on Route SL8 at Shepherds Bush Station. A bit of a grab shot in the rain as we ran to the Underground station the other side of the road but I like it.

... at HRH Prog VIII at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London, October 2019.
The last HRH Prog (and one of the last formal gigs I've been to) that took place before the Covid 19 pandemic understandably resulted in the next two being postponed! Thinking about this and missing live music got me looking back through my photos from past HRH Prog festivals from which I'll post a selection.

Woke up this morning to find an intense sky so I grabbed my camera and photographed this a few yards from my home.
Slightly blurry because I was handholding when the camera setting was 1/15 seconds @ 70mm
This Laughing Kookaburra was intent on catching at least one more snack before the sun disappeared. And some preening.
Here's the hard-working parent, with the food. In a few seconds both birds flew to a suitably difficult-to-photograph location and the doomed bug was transferred beak-to-beak.

I took a walk through Shepherds Bush at evening. It was soon too dark for photographs. Or so I thought. But I'd seen a Spinebill in the area, so I lingered. In a minute it re-appeared, settling only meters away.
I held the camera as still as I could and fired about ten shots, hoping that maybe just one might be sharp without the bird moving too much. And this one did .. equivalent of 810mm handheld at 1/40.
Very happy to have taken this one, because I've found these birds to be the most difficult of all, constantly moving.
This lady suddenly landed right in front of me. Actually a fraction too near for perfect focus. And unfortunately I didn't find the seconds to zoom out a little. In a second or two she moved away.
I reviewed the pics for a moment or two, not noticing a huge snake only four metres away. Until it suddenly started slithering into the undergrowth beside the path. Maybe that's what this one had dropped down to look at.
The Harrow routes where announced on tender before the 72, but where already earmarked to take its buses....With the Hammersmith Bridge saga, the DPS from SO have moved over to S with the DEs going the other way. DPS639 is one of those still in its Sovereign identity. It is seen here outside Chiswick Health Centre on Route 272
Travelling to Hainault to say, "Hello," to the little red Sandite train. I do miss the old green tiles here though that used to scale the tunnel walls; when the trains used to approach here, the reflection of the headlights shimmering off the tiles almost looked like water cascading sideways.

I was being annoyed by Radio 4, so I got up rather before sunrise, and saw that the sky was clear and there was even a bit of a frost. Then I noticed cloud coming in from the West, and I was wondering whether the sunrise would be beaten by the clouds. In the event, there was a sunrise and before the Sun came up it illuminated the underside of the incoming clouds, producing the effect seen here.
Although the sunrise covered most of the sky I found that the most satisfactory composition seemed to result from going in fairly tightly on the most colourful area.
