Yesterday's shelling finds :)

A great green turban gastropod shell, Turbo marmoratus. The outer layers have been stripped to show the nacre with carved filigree on the widest body whorl and Andamans carved just below the apex.

shelling is a great way to pass the time in a lazy medatative stroll.

A tiny shell fragment on a big golden beach, the last wave is still draining, combined with the first sunlight of the day creates the soft sureal look.

A pretty shell pendant hand painted in shades of lilac and turquoise in a vine and leaves design. Suspended on 4 seed bead wired strands in co-ordinating colours, with gold lined beads at the centre. Finished with a gold plated clasp. See also the Rose version. Made to order, the colours of the beaded strands may vary slightly, as I try not to make any two exactly the same. £20.00

My old camera got flicked :-(((.

For the past one month i was uploading stored photos. This is the second shot taken with the new camera. I am yet to get used to it and being technically-challenged ( as my daughters would agree :-))) ), it takes me quite some time to get adjusted to any new technical piece.

Pl. view large to see the patterns created by nature !!

The Shell Collection, which is specially designed for FueraDentro by the dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie, consists of two chairs, a bank sofa, four tables and a sunbed. The fibers of the chairs, sofa and sunbed are made of Batyline and the frames are made of stainless steel. This combination of materials makes the SHELL collection ideal for outdoor use.

The most notable characteristics of the SHELL collection is the rounded shape of the shelllike bucket seat, which brings a stunning sense of shelter. The seatings are carried out in a coaxial structured Batyline® fibre. The frames are made of electro-polished stainless steel and the tabletops are glass.

These are some very large shells
