The color and variety of shells on the beach in Florida is a lot different than those found in Connecticut.
Shells, shells and more shells! I think it's a requirement if you live in Florida to have jars of shells all over your house.
Some shells I found on the beach were lying outside the house to dry, still amazed about the beautiful lines and colors.

larger tablecloth pattern with shells, clusters and pineapple motif. Totally misjudged how much this would eat up the cotton so had to switch to the lighter pink partway through.
Although it wasn't planned, I kind of like the colour banding - but I may choose my place and time to introduce a new colourway rather than in the middle of a pineapple!
The house boat crew dumped us off at some random village near Kumarakom. Right next to the dock were these piles of shells and some kind of shell grinding apparatus. Or at least that's the theory.
Peas, pods... of course I had to.

I'm a big fan of the work of Maggie Taylor. She creates her images by using a scanner more than a camera. I scanned this shell a few days ago and the background is the cloth I used to clean the glass. Perhaps when I have some time, I'll scan a few more bits and pieces and see what I can do with them.
Shell Centre, in London, is one of the two "central offices" of oil major Shell (the other is in The Hague). It comprises a skyscraper tower and three nine-storey wings (the "upstream building").
Shell Centre is located on the Belvedere Road in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is a prominent feature on the South Bank of the River Thames near County Hall, and now forms the backdrop to the London Eye. Shell Centre was constructed in 1961, to a design by Sir Howard Robertson, and the tower stands at 107 metres (351 ft) with 27 storeys (26 numbered and a mezzanine level) and extends three storeys below ground. The tower was the first London skyscraper to exceed the height of the Victoria Tower of the Palace of Westminster.
