I decided that my tiny Picco Neemo girls needed another shelf, so I put together this mid-century modern inspired shelf It's basically 1/12 scale like my girls.. It's still a WIP, I have to figure out how to smooth out the brick walls, add some wall art & assorted decorative items, & most important, figure out what to do about couch cushions. I don't really sew, so actually making tiny cushions is beyond me. I'm thinking that maybe I'll try covering the wood pieces that are the "cushions" it comes with, with fabric. That may be enough.
When I took this shot with my drone, it felt like the sky had decided to put on a little spectacle for us - no ticket required! The storm cell on the horizon looked like it wanted to swallow up the landscape, while the sun was still desperately casting a last light on the fields. A real eye-catcher, showing that Mother Nature loves a bit of drama. I'm dry, and the drone stayed intact - at least long enough to capture the moment!

Panorama of a shelf cloud over a city park in The Hague. A dying late morning MCS (Mesoscale Convective System) sends this as a last sigh over the west of the Netherlands.
A shelf cloud passes over a farm and wheat fields east of the town of Wheatley in Chatham-Kent. This was the 3rd storm in a line of severe storms that passed through the region this day and caused some downburst damage in the area.

Due to some special circumstances we were faced with a shelf cloud yesterday evening. Especially in the center of the Netherlands we were able to see such an impressive cloud with thunder, wind and heavy rain. It's a rather rare weather phenomenon in the Netherlands.

I was in the library tonight getting books out for a project I'm doing on lucid dreams. If anyone has any suggestions of artists that would be good ;)
This incredible cloud formation came rolling across Lake Michigan this evening around 7:00 p.m. On the news they called it a shelf cloud. Whatever it was, I have never seen anything like it before. It was stunning!
Okay the shelf is finished! Much better.
I flipped it upside down, cut part of the original legs off, designed and then jigsawed some new front and side pieces, painted, and voila. A NEW SHELF!
The dolly shelf in my work room. Don't they look cute on the new shelf ?

When larger creations are in the works these guys end up being made from the leftover scraps and generally dwell in the cracks and crevices of the display shelf.
