My first Taeyang full custom.

He has: a new make-up, acrylic eyes, new eyelashes, a Volks body and his eyes / nose and lips have been modified .

This is an original mural painted by the late artist Jackie Felix. Although local she apparently is well known in the art world.

I work in a deconstruction and salvage company (this how we got involved). The mural was painted in a local restuarant some years ago. The restuarant closed and renovations had begun. Several people tried to save it and ultimately cut it down and put it in a garage. The Burchfield-Penny art gallery declined it, although they have collection of Felix's works including a large multipanel piece. We finally accepted it and will try to find it a new home. it is temporarily hung in our store.

it is unusual because it is painted on drywall panels. They had been spackle-taped together as one 25 ft long (8 ft high) panel, that dipped around a conduit on the right side (near the skeleton). The painted legs (chair or table legs) are underneath a bar rail that was attached about 4 ft up from the bottom. This forms a line through the middle where it was attached. The spackle-tape seams are in tough shape. This was apparently cut down hastily in pieces and would require conservation to properly rejoin the edges (unless that is just considered the history of the piece). there is a hole where an outlet once existed, and there is a rough hole on the eye of a woman (panel 4 from the left), probably where a fire alarm was mounted.

So there it is another interesting day at ReUse Action. If interested in this piece contact us at info@reuseaction.com or see our website reuseaction.com.

Jackie Felix (1929-2009) earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (1981) and Master Fine Arts (1983) degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She received many awards and residencies, including the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant in 1997. Important artist residencies include the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, NY in 1997; Artpark in Lewiston, NY in 2000 and Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio in 2000. Her art was presented in solo and group exhibitions in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and South Carolina. She was commissioned to produce paintings and murals for public view in the Buffalo Museum of Science and Hallwalls’ former home in the Tri-Main Building. She also taught painting, printmaking and drawing at various institutions in New York State. The Burchfield Penney Art Center owns an enormous 11-panel storyboard painting, 2 large oil triptychs, 5 paintings on paper, and 5 monotypes. While her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions at the Burchfield Penney since the 1980s, Storyboard: The Sexual Politics of Jackie Felix (on view from February 10-April 29, 2012) provides the opportunity to present a major solo exhibition representing great accomplishments of her dynamic artistic career.

Most of the year I don't notice these mosquitoes. Are they always there, yet I don't see them as I'm not sitting around in the morning? Or, does it only come and want my blood in the summer. This is not the same mosquito that comes around dusk.

She seems to be enjoying the lazy day watching the crazy tourists driving by in their automobiles.

Un triste fin !

This is Mary the most gorgeous photogenic girl in the whole world. Today was most lovely, we walked around taking pictures of each other around town. The lighting was PERFECT for pictures, it had been cloudy all and right when we were getting ready to take pictures it cleared up. We both got our minds off of the silly ridiculous boys in our lives and had a lot of fun. I'm sitting in her basement right now watching Bridge To Terabithia drinking cherry water and thinking about bed. Lovely lovely day

I made this for the owner of the Hen House Paperie after a story about her new store appeared in the lacoal newpaper.

I wish I'd been able to take a picture of The Reveal (Tami walking into my bedroom to look in the mirror), but this will just have to do. Here, Tami has taken ANOTHER shower, I blow dried, and she even scrubbed the bathtub. She likes it!

It is my favorite shot in the second roll (Kodak outdate).

She is gonna go abroad next week and maybe we won't meet each other in many years ... We just need to remember that it was our most insane summer day.

This lioness was definitely the most regal animal at the Virginia Zoo. She had tough competition with the peacock, but since she's a lion and could eat me, she wins. Photo by Mackenzie Brunson, All Rights Reserved

Lola loves to run outside and find that special stick.....no matter how long it is!
