My first roll with my newly acquired Rolleicord V. This camera used to belong to my great Grandfather, then my Uncle, and now me!... This is also my first roll of Shanghai GP3 Pan 100 film. Given the price of the film, I'm very impressed!

Holga 120CFN, 120 Shanghai GP3 100 (long expired!) ...it's Shanghai Film, light always seems to bleed through the backing paper! 04 March 2012.
red gel filter.
Developer: Ilfosol S (1+9) for 6 minutes 30 seconds, 68 degrees F.
scanned negative, Epson V500.
Shot with my Zeiss Ikoflex on Ilford PanF Plus 50 and developed in Rodinal. I need to start taking my Ikoflex out more often. I really like the falloff and swirly bokeh when shot wide open. I probably won't be shooting much more of the Ilford, though.

At Kaohsiung's Metropolitan Park. This tree was not trussed up like this the first time I saw it. Both times I saw it, it was already dead.

shanghai metered for box but i wanted to push a bit because of backlighting. shanghai is 160iso in diafine so it's pretty close to box.
I got a chance yesterday to take my Kiev 88 out with my Jupiter 36 250mm lens. This is a pretty heavy kit to be carrying around shooting hand held, but it was so nice out I figured it was worth trying. This lens REALLY flares bad in bright light, so much so that I am not sure how much I can use it. For the price its still a good deal, I will just have to try to keep my shots under control.

Continuing the experimentation with HC-110 .... really liking the results as it seems to offer very nice shadow details and a nice transition of tones. Compared to Rodinal, which I have been experimenting with quite a bit, I would say that Rodinal tends to offer a more contrasty negative versus HC-110.
Anyone else with some thoughts / experience between these two developers ?

Had a random roll of seriously expired Shanghai GP3 film of dubious renown in a trade. Apparently it was so old the emulsion turned to snow with imprinted numbers and dots.
Les Lengyel - Amateur Category Entry - EcoScene Photography 2012
Image from my ongoing Ontario Greenbelt series.
When you ask the question,“Is the Greenbelt really working?” you may get a real contrast in opinions depending who you ask. Local farmers have complained that the five-year-old environmental land preserve isn’t doing much to save farmland. Many farmers are struggling to sell their crops and the Greenbelt's restrictive land-use rules are strangling farmers who live in the protected area. According to a first-ever study by University of Guelph researchers, animal agriculture is disappearing even more rapidly in Ontario's protected Greenbelt versus the provincial average.
Many people, including the artist, can appreciate that this important piece of land has been set aside for future generations to enjoy. “The beauty that you can find in the Ontario Greenbelt is something that other communities in Canada and the rest of the world may not have the privilege of experiencing," comments Lengyel.
It is this dichotomy, the balance between protecting beauty and preserving a way of life, which the artist is attempting to capture in his series, In the Shadow of the GTA Greenbelt.
