This recently closed RiteAid is preparing to suffer the fate of all closed retail locations: reopening soon as a Spirit of Halloween. Hasselblad 500cm, Shanghai GP3 100 (220 format), Rodinal 1:50. I love the 50mm Distagon this Hasselblad came with….
Taken with my homemade 6x12 medium format pinhole camera.

Hilton Falls are found in the Halton Conservation Area just north of Milton. Taking some shots as part of my "Greenbelt" project.
Finally got to experiment with some Shanghai GP3 100 iso film I recently ordered. I grabbed the Mamiya RB67 and headed out the door.
I also wanted to experiment with this film in Rodinal 1:100 stand development as I have been following Holden Richards work with this combination and his results are spectacular ... www.flickr.com/photos/holdenrichards/
A special thanks to Holden for sharing his workflow/experimentation with this combination.
The day was extremely sunny as you can see, I shot the entire roll at 100 iso and used a Minolta IIIF light meter for my exposures.
With this shot, I had the challenge of trying to bring out the detail in the shadows yet I did not want to blow out the highlights. At the base of the falls, I took a reading in the shadowed area which gave me f8.0 @ 1/30th and I took a reading in the sun which gave me a reading of f32.0 @ 1/30th.
As a compromise, I shot at f 16.0 @ 1/30th so I could also get a sense of movement and flow in the water falls.
Perhaps using a polarizing filter would have helped managed the highlights in this shot and in general, all of the light that was bouncing around in this area.
Developing approach (kindly suggested by Holden):
1. Rodinal 1:100
2. Agitate for 1st 30 seconds
3. Agitate for 5 turns on each minute for next 6 minutes
4. Let stand for remaining hour

Messing with the Hasselblad and some Shanghai GP3. (Carl Zeiss Planar T* 80mm f2.8)
Talk about a complete cluster f@#$ ... I mixed up some Rodinal 1:50 in about 300 mL of water.
After developing the 120 film for about 7 minutes I thought ... wait a second, I don't think I have enough developer in my tank as I usually throw in 500 ml when I am developing 120 film.
What do I do .. I poured in another 200 mL of water and I developed the film for 40 minutes total using stand development.
Talk about developing on the fly !
The shots actually came out very nice with even tones.
Now this shot, I exposed for the highlights as I took this in very dim light. The exposure was f2.8 @ 1/15th handheld.
I wasn't expecting much as I thought I would get too much camera shake but I like how it turned out.
