I had to revisit this Green heron (Butorides virescens) and its feather (un)ruffling pose. I've not seen it since this one visit.

A Mute Swan bathing on a sunny afternoon.

Feeling very lucky today, no major issues either here or that I’ve heard off from my family thus far. Just trying to shake loose all those tensions from the storm and focus on the days ahead.

Kind of like this young Reddish Egret from Fort DeSoto Beach this past weekend.

With the Great Blue Heron

This little red squirrel popped up out of a snowbank and then shook off the snow!

I had never seen this plant before, but my Facebook friends steered me to Clematis. This one is C. hirsutissima, known by the common name, Sugarbowls.

we did some cleaning in the bar area and David was ready to toss these drink shakers.... I on the other hand knew I could use them for something... and added them to my bottle art in the garden and love the shine they add!

Nothing as satisfying as a good shake to get rid of all the water that has accumulated on a heavy mane after a rain storm, as this large male lion is showing. Just prior, he was hunkered down in the tall grasses on the savanna in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.
