I shot this a few weeks ago and am just getting around to posting it. On this day, snow had started to fall but it had not covered this street yet, but......it is now!
There is something with the way
the shadows fall and the light plays off of the cobblestones that makes this pure magic for me. It is hard to not be completely overwhelmed by the deep sense of history that seems to exude from all of its pores. One of my top ten reasons for loving this city, Poznan.
The Royal Pavilion Brighton, sadly when we visited parts of this building were shrouded in scafolding due to renovation work..

I am still continuing my winter project of finding interesting-ness to photograph inside my home in creative ways.
Photographer side note: This is the time of year that I don't "get outside" much and shoot a lot of images as I use this time to reflect on my past work and think of things I'd like to try in the new year. I find this self reflective exercise helps me grow as a photographer as sometimes I get sick of looking at my own work. I believe by giving myself this project it will sharpen my minds eye and help my muscle memory with my newer Z camera(s) and lenses. I have a VERY important photoshoot coming up in August and I want to be sure to be on the TOP of my game (as it were). If it were just a paid gig I wouldn't be as worried, but when you have been asked by your step-daughter to photograph her wedding..well THAT is really close to the heart. I haven't photographed a wedding in nearly 15 years and want to make sure I still am at my best. I have 250 or so wedding under my belt over the years, but me being me I am still going to act like it is the first as to not take anything for granted.
