I doubt Bettie saw a penny of the profits this cheesy postcard made for photographer Bunny Yeager.
Homer Simpson refers to this card in the episode "Homer Bad Man", where a babysitter accuses Homer of sexually harassing her. Homer takes a moment to explain to Bart and Lisa what sexual harassment means. "Remember that postcard Grandpa sent us from Florida that had that alligator about to bite that girl's rear end?"
Bart says, "Yeah! That was BRILLIANT!"
Homer says, " Well, that alligator was sexually harassing her."
Bart says, "Same deal with the girl and the dog in the Coppertone ad?"
Homer says, "Well...that's kind of a grey area."
That's from memory, but it's pretty close.
Portrait of a girl at a vigil in memory of Sarah Everard and all women suffering at the hands of male violence, Parliament Square, London, 15 March 2021
In memory of the hundreds of Bishnoi Women, who died protecting their dear trees in 1730, a number of khejri trees are planted around the area, which is still notably lush and rich with animal life. The Bishnoi sacrifices became the inspiration for a much larger Chipko movement that is still growing today, in which villagers physically embrace trees to save them from logging. The Bishnoi faith is founded on 29 principles, most of which promote environmental stewardship. Bishnois strictly forbid the harming of trees and animals.

Inspired Women are Empowered Women
The goal of gender equality has been at the centre of the economic and political agenda during the two decades since the adoption of the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. In September 2015, world leaders adopted the 17 new global Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets. Goal 5 focuses specifically on gender equality and the empowerment of women. Financial independence is key to women empowerment.

Copy of Email To Raytheon Missile Systems:
To Whom it May Concern:
Being the supposed #1 Missile Defense contractor in the world and one of the top US government subcontractors, may I make a few
suggestions:
1. Set and monitor security practices and proticols set in place or intitate them - and ensure they are
followed for the safety and security of not only your own employees but for the safety and security of
the citizens of the USA.
2. To ensure maximal productivity of your facility ensure employees are using their paid time during work hours
on work projects assigned to them.
3. To prevent backlog of parts and materials that may jeopardize the lives of our servicemen and military,
please ensure your staff is working diligently on said projects rather than external personal priorities.
If external personal priorities become necessary, allocate time off either paid or unpaid as deemed fit.
4. To prevent further burden on the US Federal Government, Veterans and taxpayers please ensure maximum productivity
by your employees and management alike to ensure work is being done during work hours - sober.
5. Please have a QA team regularly monitor your employees email activities, IM activities and texting on personal
phones activities while at work - as you can see here you have a problem, and this particular employee is not the
exception - it is the norm.
6 You have a sexual harassment clause written into your employee handbook. Enforce it. Your workplace must
be a safe environment. Both men and women employees should not fear their workplace or feel the need to provide
sexual favors in order to gain promotions or maintain their jobs, nor should that opportunity be provided. Please
check that.
7. There is obviously a problem with your hiring company, Hire Right - and whomever processes their drug screening. You may want to look into a legitimate company to do this and repeat these testings on a monthly basis as
it is evident there is an on the job alcohol and drug problem at the Louisville facility that is being participated in
by management as well. Some of your employees are Air National Guard pilots - I see a problem with this - do you?
8. You had an employee who'd lost a personal cell phone yet did not deactivate that cell phone until weeks later. Do you see a problem with that yet? And no password on that phone to lock it?
10. Your email system at the Louisville location was sloppy and careless to say the least. Employees were able to mail out
parts lists to personal emails and email personal emails out 20-30 times a day, as well as emailing sensitive
secure information to personal accounts and documents via company emails and personal cell phones with no problems.
I see a massive problem with that. And to this date it is still easily circumvented.
11. Please ensure attendance policies are adhered to and/or provide PTO/ FMLA/ Counseling as needed for employees
needing psychiatric care/substance abuse assistance/medical assistance. If those policies cannot be adhered to across
the board equally to all employees fairly please reconsider fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
Preferential treatment based on whatever reasons needs to be discussed openly by upper management or your hiring /retaining practices need to be examined more closely.
Defend, disrupt, define, dream, deliver. You, my friends, are only at the defend stage. I'm at the define stage. You do this for a living. I don't. Your employees just happened to disrupt the life of the wrong person.
At any rate, please clean up your act if you expect to defend this Nation - as it stands now you're simply draining
"the people" dry. Good Luck.

ENDING VIOLENCE AGAINST
WOMEN AND GIRLS
Violence against women and girls is a grave violation of human rights. Violence happens in public and private places.
It has many forms which range from domestic or intimate
partner violence to sexual harassment and assault, female
genital mutilation, trafficking, sexual violence in conflict
and gender-related killing.
The impact of violence ranges from immediate to longterm physical, sexual and mental health consequences
for women and girls, including death. It negatively affects
women’s general well-being and prevents women from
fully participating in society. Violence not only has longlasting consequences for women but also their families,
the community and the country at large. It also has tremendous costs, from greater health care and legal expenses to productivity losses, impacting national budgets and overall development.

The accommodation marked "Men not allowed" helps deal with the euphemistically named "Eve teasing" where women are harassed by men in public.
Ladies only rail carriages were abolished in the UK in 1977. Discuss!

Portrait of a community health activist ASHA shot at Betul, Madhya Pradesh.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the key components of the National Rural Health Mission is to provide every village in the country with a trained female community health activist ASHA or Accredited Social Health Activist. Selected from the village itself and accountable to it, the ASHA will be trained to work as an interface between the community and the public health system. Following are the key components of ASHA :
• ASHA must primarily be a woman resident of the village married/ widowed/ divorced, preferably in the age group of 25 to 45 years.
• She should be a literate woman with due preference in selection to those who are qualified up to 10 standard wherever they are interested and available in good numbers. This may be relaxed only if no suitable person with this qualification is available.
• ASHA will be chosen through a rigorous process of selection involving various community groups, self-help groups, Anganwadi Institutions, the Block Nodal officer, District Nodal officer, the village Health Committee and the Gram Sabha.
• Capacity building of ASHA is being seen as a continuous process. ASHA will have to undergo series of training episodes to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence for performing her spelled out roles.
• The ASHAs will receive performance-based incentives for promoting universal immunization, referral and escort services for Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) and other healthcare programmes, and construction of household toilets.
• Empowered with knowledge and a drug-kit to deliver first-contact healthcare, every ASHA is expected to be a fountainhead of community participation in public health programmes in her village.
• ASHA will be the first port of call for any health related demands of deprived sections of the population, especially women and children, who find it difficult to access health services.
• ASHA will be a health activist in the community who will create awareness on health and its social determinants and mobilise the community towards local health planning and increased utilisation and accountability of the existing health services.
• She would be a promoter of good health practices and will also provide a minimum package of curative care as appropriate and feasible for that level and make timely referrals.
• ASHA will provide information to the community on determinants of health such as nutrition, basic sanitation & hygienic practices, healthy living and working conditions, information on existing health services and the need for timely utilisation of health & family welfare services.
• She will counsel women on birth preparedness, importance of safe delivery, breast-feeding and complementary feeding, immunization, contraception and prevention of common infections including Reproductive Tract Infection/Sexually Transmitted Infections (RTIs/STIs) and care of the young child.
• ASHA will mobilise the community and facilitate them in accessing health and health related services available at the Anganwadi/sub-centre/primary health centers, such as immunisation, Ante Natal Check-up (ANC), Post Natal Check-up supplementary nutrition, sanitation and other services being provided by the government.
• She will act as a depot older for essential provisions being made available to all habitations like Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORS), Iron Folic Acid Tablet(IFA), chloroquine, Disposable Delivery Kits (DDK), Oral Pills & Condoms, etc.
• At the village level it is recognised that ASHA cannot function without adequate institutional support. Women's committees (like self-help groups or women's health committees), village Health & Sanitation Committee of the Gram Panchayat, peripheral health workers especially ANMs and Anganwadi workers, and the trainers of ASHA and in-service periodic training would be a major source of support to ASHA.

Join The War Against COVID-19
Health workers are at the front line of any outbreak response and as such are exposed to hazards that put them at risk of infection with an outbreak pathogen (in this case COVID-19). Hazards include pathogen exposure, long working hours, psychological distress, fatigue, occupational burnout, stigma, and physical and psychological violence.
Hundreds of doctors, health workers and emergency responders, social activists, priests and nuns have lost their lives and thousands of health care workers were known to be infected because of the pandemic. Let us pray for them and their families.

The ancient Greek cautionary myth of Actaeon
Out hunting, Actaeon saw the beautiful Artemis, the goddess of virginity, nature and the hunt, bathing naked in a pool. Smitten by her beauty, he had the hubrus to attempt to lay with the goddess to be his companion.
He was transformed by Artemis into a stag. Actaeon's own hunting dogs now did not recognize the animal as him.
The hunter became the hunted.
He ran.
But Actaeon's skilled dogs successfully hunted down the stag. In the end, he prayed to the gods for deliverance but no god lifted a finger to help. The dogs tore him apart piece by piece, killing Actaeon.
Photographer's note: This is a photo I took of a statue surrounded by other ancient Greek figured statues at the Biltmore Estate, Asheville, North Carolina, There's a dog underneath the archer, which led me to believe that this is the hunter Actaeon. I hope I've visually captured its peculiarity, beauty and foreboding. I must confess that when contemplating this statue, what was on my mind were the constant news stories of sexual harassment in the last days and even hours of one public figure after another.
Our old friend Punchy, usually seen decking the hapless Oaf in the Hawaiian Punch TV commercials of the sixties and seventies, smacks a woman on the butt to encourage her to shed those extra holiday pounds by drinking Low Calorie Hawaiian Punch. Most likely this product contained cyclamate, an artificial sweetener banned by the US Food and Drug Administration later that year.
This ad ran in the January 4, 1969 edition of TV Guide (right after the holidays). Coupon expired December 31, 1969, so don't bother cutting it out and taking it to your local store.
Welcome to your Second Life, a new virtual world awaits you! The hope of a new life, free from all the real people you know and the sorry state of your own appearance.
You can look like you've always wanted to look! Be who you've wanted to be. Plus, no odors!
Oh, but wait. First this guy wants to put his hand in your pants.
And this is just what happened to a student of mine as he entered Second Life for the first time. Second Life is an online world that allows you to own virtual land and engage in various business and interpersonal activities: flirting, gambling, building things, groping, etc.
While I'm not opposed to groping in an of itself, and I'm certainly not against online worlds, (I do research in the area) this quite common event shows just how far these worlds still need to go.
In the near future most people will have multiple avatars in multiple, interconnected worlds engaged in all manner of activities - not just games and diversions.

Saint-Pardoux was erected in the second half of the 12th century as a church for a priory, dependent from the Benedictine Abbey Saint-Étienne in Baignes.
The single-nave church got enlarged later and restored/rebuilt in the 19th century. It is claimed, that the facade is inspired by the construction of the cathedral of Angouleme. I do not see a strong influence. The carvings of the facade and all around the apse are very elaborate and come from very skilled and experienced workshops.
Compared to the exterior splendor, the interior of Saint-Pardoux is simple and sober. The sculpted capitals here differ from the works outside.
The capitals are pretty rough. It seems, that the Benedictines spent all the funds for the exterior decoration, when the church was built, so they did not employ a skilled artist here.
The topics differ as well - and seem a bit inadequate for a priory.
The previous upload had a scene, that could be described as "sexual harassment". Here is a kissing couple - and a female raising her arms (in despair? taken alarm?). The couple is sitting. Note the small leg of the kissing warrior (helmet).
