Nikon SB-600 (1/4 power)
Vivitar 285-HV (1/4 power)
Silver Umbrella
I created a blue gradient in the background with the fall off of the strobe to the right. Silver umbrella w/ vivitar was positioned to the right of the subject and a nikon sb600 to the left.
I am trying to set up a short tutorial for water drop pictures. This is about the simplest set up and shows my camera on a tripod with a Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro lens. I use a small dish filled with water. The on camera flash is wirelassly linked to the remote Nikon SB600 flash. To the side of the dish is the eye dropper I use to drip the water intop the bowl.
Because the big stone no longer used, I used soap dish which I turn it down and glue green dishwasher sponge on it. Tadaa... temporary yet small basking ramp.

Quality Learning Statue II - Flash is actually aimed right at statue. Would be below this photo on a stool.
Quality Learning Statue III - Setup shot is exact for this photo.
This is vaguely how I set up a bunch of shots. Basic idea is that I use my shoot-through umbrella and the 285HV as key light and the 622 opposite the 285HV as a rimlight.
This is totally one of those setups that I would never have thought of on my own. I kinda went back and read some of the older Strobist blog entries and looked at the things I'd missed earlier.
