Strobist setup for the strobist set pictures.
The office depot brand is gone now with a silver tape...
In order to automate, I capture the photos in Camera Control Pro, Auto Scan into Lightroom, PP and export to Uploadr. Somewhere between the last 2 steps the Metadata is going crazy.

Basically in the V1, and 'Production' V2 setup I had the guides slot through a half stud thick gap by taking the round 4x4 disks and turning them back to back, studs facing the tank hull and studs facing out to create the tight gap. I didn't leave enough space for 'play' in the system cause by flexing axles/pins under the weight of the tank which cause the hooking. Had I done more large scale builds IRL I would have known this, but as my first one this was a hiccup that wasn't found until it was actually built in bricks.
The last three years I've been off and on again thinking of how to fix it and always came up with some complicated, buy-more-pieces solution until last week I took a look at the LDD file and realized that if I flipped the inside wheels to where everyone was studs facing out, the studs on the 2x2 round plate would maybe add just enough gap to allow clearance...
Pro: Adds clearance for tracks to move
Con: Isn't as aesthetic because now the underside of the 4x4 round plates show if looking at the underside instead of being hidden completely...
Now the tank does roll, it still hooks a fair bit, but that was to be expected with a twin-guide track system custom made and a 'use what you already have' mod approach, but she does indeed roll. I still wouldn't roll it under it's own weight for extended periods of time so as to not break it, and will be keeping it on the stand so as to not stress pieces. Which on a side not as per the videos we can see that one can keep the tank on the stand and there is enough clearance to 'play' with the tracks and make them roll, which as a display model is a very nice added bonus.
Setup for the hig-key image.
- Canon 580EX II (3, one with softbor, others without)
- Canon EOS-Ds Mark III
- PocketWizard FlexTT5 (3)

Setup shot for the Martini Series.
The glass is the door to my stereo cabinet. Holding it up are my two front speakers. Both are covered in a sticky residue that refuses to come off now.
The 'professional' setup for my abstract colored reflections in glass shots.
Step 1: Empty a tequila bottle (if you are not of legal drinking age in your country, have one or both of your parents complete step 1).
Now:
You need: 1 empty interesting textured but clear glass bottle, colorful place mats, camera, 60mm macro lens, tripod, cheap broken studio light, brno white balance lens cap, painter's tape, some patience and lots of time to kill as you try different f/stops, lighting, and points of view. Nice pastime when a Nor'easter is dumping 15+ inches of snow outside.
Lighting Info: Exposed to 1/125 @ f/5.6. Flash through umbrella zoomed to 24 mm at 1/8 power.
See the Self portraits - March 14 set for the portraits taken in this corner today.
We have this corner which I've used before, but today I noticed how perfect it is for portraits. you have a nice white background and a huge white reflector on the right.
Setup for taking picture of a guitar effect pedal. Camera on tripod with polarizing filter on lens. Subject on plastic table inside light tent. Regular paper as background.

A 5600k compact fluorescent just out of frame directly above the subject, and gobo'd to keep light from falling on the background.

The setup show for a set of Strobist product shots I took that will be uploaded tomorrow. A very similar setup was created again the following two days for some figurines that were purchased as a present for someone.
Strobist Info:
1) Canon 430EX above at 1/32nd power snooted with a Pringles can
2) Nikon SB-800 at left at 1/32nd power at 105mm fired into the
Changes in resulting photos from setup photo:
1) White carboard back replaced by a black hoodie draped over the background.
In the Swarovski shots the Nikon SB-800 was moved to slightly camera right (above where the back cardboard is now) and the cardboard on the right was moved to the left hand side. Same power settings however.
