We're doing a commercial for my shop, New Beginning, on several cable stations. Getting models lined up for the shoot was a new experience for us, and we had to reschedule the shoot once due to rain, but in the end it went really well I think (haven't seen the finished product as of this writing.) I followed along with my camera, thus this set of pictures. The models are young women and one guy from local colleges, and my shop manager, and one customer who I begged to be in it to provide a more mature look!
This set will probably mostly be of interest to the people in the pictures and their friends and family. It's an awfully attractive and fun group of people though! :-)
Friar Fest Homecoming 2023- try to get photos of event set-up and inside the tent before the event – decorations, etc. Float between locations / student groups/bands shots (to give to performers as a thank you) / Friar gear shots / family lawn shots on AQ Lawn and photos of athletes interacting with families/ mix of horizontal and vertical group shots for marketing purposes / promotional campaign socks / a few far away shots showing large crowd, tent, activities, etc. / diversity (age, race, activity)
Idbury is a small village set high on the escarpment above the Evenlode valley between Stow and Burford. An Iron age hill fort west of the village bears witness to the longevity of this settlement whose name is Saxon in origin.The inhabitants were reputed to be slow of thought and attempted to pen the cuckoo in order to achieve perpetual summer, the cuckoo flew away. Cecil Sharp recorded the Idbury Morris dancing tradition and these dances were key in the revival of folk dance in the Cotswolds.
The church of St Nicholas is Norman in origin and belonged to the nearby Bruern Abbey between 1147-1536 perhaps generating the local tradition of a tunnel between Idbury Manor and the abbey. A fine Norman door and the masonry of the south wall remain from this period. The church was remodeled in the 14th century when a north aisle was added and slightly later a north-west tower was built within the west end of this aisle. The Perpendicular period is represented by a passage squint between the north aisle and chancel, many of the windows and the nave roof with it's carved corbels. In the churchyard is an elaborate monument to Sir Benjamin Baker the architect of the Forth bridge and the Aswan dam. One of the 44 Hobbit Holes on the set. A scene from our tour of the Hobbiton set, made famous in the "Lord of the Rings" movie series. Located on the Alexander Sheep Farm near Matamata, New Zealand, the 12 acre movie set is a must-see for fans and is a delight for those who aren't familiar with the movies, too. 44 permanently constructed Hobbit Holes are on the site, as well as the Green Dragon Inn. Anything outside of a Hobbit Hole is artificial; a prop for the movie.
It was springtime in the Shire when we visited. Baby Lambs were bounding everywhere.

Lunch at the Star Wars film set in the underground troglodyte houses on the Sahara Explorer Excursion in Tunisia.
What a freakin awesome day. About two months ago i submitted an email to the tonight show for tickets. amazingly i was picked and i couldn't be happier. it seemed like forever til i was able to go. finally the day came. i left work early picked up valorie and off we went to universal city. Lucky the place wasn't to hard to find and we made our trek toward the studio. they advise to get to the studio early as seating is first come first serve. we arrived about 2 hours early and there was already a huge line. lucky we got there when we did because the line soon filled up behind us. After waiting in this huge line in the blazing sun for 2 hours we finally got into the studio. the set was freaking amazing looking but very small. on tv it looks massive. after an hour of waiting the show finally started. it was amazing to see conan. i always wanted to see his show but filming in nyc i thought i would never had the chance. the show was hilarious from beginning to end. truly one of the funnest days of my life.

Car Traffic on the shoot of the Belgian Feature Film “Adem” (ENG: Oxygen, 2010 - Hans Van Nuffel). This was one of the last pic’s of a something-else-roll I had. I was with 2 extra rolls of the legendary Kodachrome film I reserved specially for this occasion. It was my first time shooting with it and the last year that Kodak was still processing this film. I was pretty excited. Shot everything till got bubbles on my index finger, as usual I thought I had the best shots ever. Send it to Kodak Lausanne to develop it, they so did, but the film got lost on its way back. Long story short: I’ll never be able to say if those pictures were any good. I guess Life decided to show me that memory is the most important on this equation. At the end that’s what photography is about: eternal fragments of memory.
