PERSONAL FUN FACT: Truth be told, I had no idea that either of these costumes were authentic American Girl items when I stumbled upon them at the local flea market in 2018. I saw a pile of doll clothes residing in a container beneath the table we purchased my three Bitty Twins dolls from. Colleen and I spent several minutes trying to deduce what was and was not real American Girl. These clothes are honestly not up to American Girl's usual standards. Neither costume has closures, so you have to cram them over the plump babies' bodies. This is really tricky to do with the super tight fitting superhero costume, being modeled on Sonny. The fabric choices also feel more like imitation American Girl clothes...but I suppose it makes sense being that there were three outfits sold in this one set. I personally prefer the dinosaur outfit over the hero one. I'm not sure why...maybe it's because it comes with the adorable matching hat. But I think in part it's because this ensemble reminds me of Music Festival Vibes Jade's dino hoodie, that I am mega obsessed with. This costume also is reminiscent of the costumes I would wear to bed as pajamas growing up. I recall being so taken with my cheap Felix the Cat costume, that Mom let me wear it to bed whenever it came out of the wash (which was often...I wet the bed all the time when I was little). This set also was packaged with a reversible outfit for the girl Bitty Twins doll. Sadly, I only have the skirt from this look, so Billie Jean couldn't take part in this photo shoot with the boys. Interestingly, the skirt is the best quality piece from this set!
A simple time lapse of my wife and I setting up our site during a recent camping trip to Algonquin Park.
The shots are set to 12 second intervals using. They were done in two sequences, each from a different angle using a Canon 7d, a Canon 24 - 70 and a no-name timer.
I set the first sequence to full auto which was a mistake as you can see the aperture was not wide enough and the focus missed on several shots.
The second sequence worked much better when I switched to manual mode (duh) and wider aperture.
All shots were jpeg small captures. The were 534 in total and all fit on a 1 gig card.
I used Lightroom 4 to create the slide show with about .2 seconds between pictures. I then saved it to a video format.
Enjoy!
This was a colaborative effort between me and a fellow photographer Jason, sharing equipment and ideas. Teryx 1&2 are a couple of shots I took.
the envorinment was totally clad in tranquility!
shot taken by canon A490 on the motor way while goin to Peshawar! totally non edited!
Hopefully the sun hasn’t yet set on the tramway fleet at Iasi and these wonderful models still have many more years left in them, as the sun does set 111 in overall advertising livery leads 317 in original Stuttgart yellow into the town center, a wonderful sight in 2015.
111 is another GT4 new to Stuttgart, this particular example being new in 1962 and passing to Augsburg in 1995 where it received this advertising livery which it retains despite being acquired by Iasi in 2009.
317 was new to Stuttgart in 1961 and passed to Iasi direct from them in 2000.
So here's the complete set of the Jag's. Hope you enjoy!
Also, feel free to compare it to the XKR vs XFR set I did a couple of years ago: www.flickr.com/photos/bilbilder/sets/72157625702307459/

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I don't honestly recall the origin of these pieces. I cannot even be sure that we got all of them together initially. I must have acquired these in one of the early bins we bought as adult collectors. I know for certain that my sister and I didn't own this set as kids. The table is the same mold we had for our Route 66 set. We were OBSESSED with said table...it was the most used item from that pack (well, except the food). It broke after so many years of play. We could still use it, but it was no longer sturdy, so the dolls often fell off the benches. If we'd had this one, it would have been a great replacement since it isn't broken. I also know that the propane tank would have been a source of great delight. Colleen loved making her Ken dolls grill food. The grill itself for this set is incomplete. But the propane tank can be used separately. I'm sure we would have found many ways to play with it growing up.
I love this set! It is perfect for paper piecing and I can think of lots of ways of getting loads and loads of wear out of it!
The back panel is a winelabel. I stamped the carte postale on a piece of PP sent to me by Franziska. Cut out the bird and placed him on some white roses. Then I stamped on the remaining sheet of PP - a couple of postal stamps and some postmarks and then put it all together. Very enjoyable.
