Now in the last week of service with EMR (East Midlands Railways) HST, work stained celebrity Class 43 102 "The Journey Shrinker", arrives at the rain soaked Wakefield Westgate with the 1B23 06:34 Leeds-St.Pancras International service.
InterCity 125 Class 43 102 "The Journey Shrinker" travelled at 148.5MPH between Northallerton and York in 1987. The world speed record for a diesel train.

Seen on Church Street in Luton Town Centre is this 1999 Dennis Dart that is seen operating local town service 14. Luton depot were still operating a large fleet of these late 90s Darts until recently but now most including the one seen here have now been withdrawn and replaced by Wright Streetlight vehicles.

Der zweite von den drei Lkw dieser Serie, der bei mir im Einsatz war. Übrigens ein seltsamer Maßstab, er passt nicht zu den übrigen Sets der damaligen Legoland-Welt – die Fahrzeuge sind viel zu groß. Das ändert aber nichts daran, dass es sich um gelungene Modelle handelt, mit denen man gut und gerne spielen konnte. Sie verfügen sogar über eine „Hand of God“-Lenkung, wird der „LEGO®“-Stein auf dem Dach gedreht, wird erfolgreich gelenkt. Auch die Türen lassen sich öffnen.
Der Stil entspricht einem Kurzhaubenlastwagen, die heute fast ausgestorben sind, damals auf den Straßen aber noch recht häufig anzutreffen waren. Darüber, dass sie über zwei Kühlergrills verfügen (der schwarze Stein oben in der Schnauze und der aufgedruckte zwischen den Scheinwerfern), sehen wir gnädig hinweg. Wir wollen nicht kleinlich sein.
In der Mechanik des Gabelstaplers fehlt eine Feder, daher bleibt die Gabel immer unten. Das erschwert das Be- und Entladen des Lkw ein wenig. Was wird da überhaupt transportiert? Giftmüllfässer?

Another set from clogher head.I often think when im out here of lord of the rings and i remember that tolkien said that he got a lot of his inspiration from his childhood holidays in ireland.The landscape and geology here is quite unique with a real rugged beauty.All these shots were taken early morning over the last two years.The first one is at sunrise july 10 and the second one is my favourite shot that i have ever taken about an hour after sunrise last august.The other shots were taken later on that first year with the final one looking south over the blasket islands.Dingle peninsula co kerry.Please view on black.

From a series of pots, inspired by a friend, whose main goal in life was to be "the pebble in the pond"
This shot of Set 358 was taken at Inverkeithing on the morning of Tuesday 7th June 1983. M53926 sets off on the climb to the Forth Bridge with the 08:38 Kirkcaldy – Edinburgh Waverley service.
The leading vehicle is M53926 a Driving Motor Brake 2nd which had begun life as M50926, part of a powered twin set. Both M50926 and M51567 had been part of the same order in late 1959 / early 1960, M50926 being originally allocated to Wrexham.
The trailer car, Sc59060, was a Metropolitan Cammell Trailer 2nd originally delivered to the Northe Eastern Region in early 1957 as part of a 4 car set for use on the Darlington – Saltburn service.
The platform to the right of the DMU is partially built over the Keithing Burn which flows into the River Forth. When the DMU sets out across the Forth Bridge, some two miles to the south, it will be 150 feet above the waters of the Forth.
