Server room for our Digital Audio Delivery System. I posted this above my desk as incentive to clean up the rack...which we eventually did when we replaced the myriad of hubs with a Cisco 5500. We run three radio stations from those two black servers.
A 1337x proxy server acts as an intermediary between your computer and the internet. When you connect to a proxy server, your traffic is routed through the proxy server before it reaches the destination.

Double doors, the servers are stacked 4 high and there's a powerbar on the back (visible here). The right cabinet is a patch cabinet. It will hold a bunch of thick yel;low and red cables that will terminate in the grate on the bottom.

This is the original case of my PC Gamerish Computer. That is the reason I call it Sleepy.
The case itself isn't that bad. With 4 3.5 bays in the very top that have 2x80mm fans across them it has adequate server cooling, but the gaming rig ran a bit hot. Plus, one fan died, and the other is slowly dying, so I need to have them replaced. It was annoying how loud this thing ran. I got the Xaser III and it is quieter with its 7 fans revved all the way up.
I finally am building a proper RAID array, complete with hotswap drive cages. It's just Linux software RAID-5, because I really don't care especially much about performance, just about resiliency (I don't actually trust RAID too much these days either, but I figure that it's a nice extra layer of redundancy for backups)
I tried the 5-in-3 (5 1" tall 3.5" drives in 3 5.25" drive bays) version of the AMS SATA backplane, but it wouldn't fit the case without taking a dremel to the case. I decided that it wasn't worth the effort. So I got the 3-in-2 (3 1" tall 3.5" drives in 2 5.25" drive bays) version instead, figuring that whenever I need more drives, I'll just get another 3-in-2 cage.
The added blinkenlichten are great.
These three systems make up a quorum of license servers for about eight different CAD applications as well as Matlab. As long as any two are running... students and researchers can work.
