We had 4 dell 2450 servers and one IBM 4000R server. We traded them all for a sweet little mac mini setup. Pretty fair deal I think, and now I have a mac! WHOO HOO.

Each V Server PC blade has 5x PCs internally connected to LAN ports. For ease of setup / troubleshooting each 'PC' can also be accessed via the underside, after removing a small, thin service panel - here you can see the HDMI + 2x USB3 port access - the LAN port routes back inside and is connected to the front panel

Appologies for the nerdy illustration; I've no 'real' photo tonight because I hardly had chance to breathe at work, and when I got home I had this new toy to set up. The little black PC under my camera is a MS Home Server and it is the device I have been hoping someone would build for a couple of years now. If you've ripped all your CDs and you have 8+ years of digital photos hanging around on various disks external USB hard drives are OK for backups and networked storage but they require constant tweaking and monitoring. This machine takes the stress out of storage and has other great features like remote access built in.
Sorry to geek out on you but I really think this device is going to make Patrin's digital lives a lot simpler and stress free. Once I've got Patti's external files moved over I will sleep sounder.
limited access, secure enviroment.. what you see here are some of the concordia servers and some diskspace....
