Doesn't Everybody have one of these ... running its heart out .. sitting in back of the entertainment center. Doing whatever.. It started its life sitting as parts in a local frys electronics. Then Put together to be a Freebsd Server.. running 2.5 (Still have the Walnut Creek CDS) Still running to this day.. I think that was back in 96? Original HDD a wopping 4 gigs. (Seagate made good drives) ..

This is what the desktop looks like on eliot.bambi.net, my server. I didn't want a full GNOME or KDE environment so I cobbled together a lightweight desktop suite. Very minimalistic but it gets the job done.

Shown: idesk (for icons), torsmo (desktop system monitor), Firefox

(on another desktop), xterm, Fluxbox Window Manager.
