Living Light

Taking a giant leap from keyboardist for a live EDM ensemble to an electronic solo passion project may seem quite daunting for any musician. However, for Eartha Harris of Psylab, it was quite

effortless.

Taking musical influences from electronic music masterminds andprogressive dub pioneers around the globe, Eartha has brilliantly brought to life an immanent sound all her own with reinvigorated analog aesthetics and futuristic-meets-traditional ethnic instrumentation.

Transition is an innate aspect of life that this seasoned musician is well-trained in. Whether on the mat as a certified yogi, or arranging sonic serenity, this Dakini of Dub welcomes remarkable journeys with open arms and a fierce, yet endearing, confidence. She has quickly attained an exponentially expanding fanbase by touring voraciously all over the East Coast, and is unleashing her brand new frequencies this winter in Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua, performing at highly acclaimed global gatherings GeoParadise, Envision Festival, and more.

Desert Trax, is incredibly honored to present the debut album of

Living Light, "Ecliptic Visions". Inspired greatly by auspicious

astrological alignment and celestial occurrences, Eartha has crafted a concept album that invites the listener to delight in multicultural mysticism and marvel at an opulence of orchestrations. This 9 track vibratory voyage contains some of the most fundamental frequencies and Vedic vibrations that will make your sense of sacred sound shimmer.

Her signature style emanates a dreamlike disposition, and is as

verdant as the lush lands of India. With an array of Hindustani harmonics, exotic native flutes, deep sultry bass and a locus of stealth synthesizers, Living Light seamlessly weaves a tapestry of tranquil transmissions and dubbed divinity. Within the wondrous world of "Ecliptic Visions", one will be transported to a space where sound is a story being told, a timeless and infinitely unfurling tale for the search of sentience, Shakti and the birthplace of beauty."

— Anthony Della Croce/Desert Trax

"From the inticing harmonies of “First Light,” all the way to the masterful melodies of “Last Morning,” it was as though Shakti herself had stopped by during her ascension to lift me into more heavenly realms. Here are a few of the tracks which resonated most deeply during this epic auditory journey."

Artemis of the Wildland is often found stalking through digital forests, hunting down captivating tunes with arrow like precision. As a fawn, Artemis was trained in classical violin and voice, giving her a diverse palate for more modern musical styles. She found electronic music at 10 and started djing at 18 mostly as a rave dj and verged into the psytrance and burner scenes as she gained more refined tastes. While focusing a little more on psytrance, techno, garage, bass music, and downtempo, she also plays house, breaks, breakbeat hardcore, and some garage influenced dubstep. Her journey through the forests of life has given her the chance to run alongside the Fractilian Nation as a core member of Fractaltribe, working on stage fabrication and decorations, music, vending freshly squeezed juices, and more. Through these special projects and her other gigs, Artemis has been able to transcend cultures and reach people from all walks of life. “I feel renewed and awakened in a way that I had previously never thought possible. This music is magic; teaching the body to move, the mind to listen, and the soul to let go. I hope to help my

audiences feel this same magic I feel.”

Shō Fukamachi (深町 晶 Fukamachi Shō?)

The main protagonist of the series, Shō is seventeen years old and a second-year student at Narisawa high school. He has black hair and a slim build. He fights Cronos more in order to protect friends and family than from any need to see the enemy brought to justice. Had he not become host for a Guyver Unit, he would have happily continued in ignorance of Chronos. He cares deeply for Mizuki Segawa with the intensity of first love, and Tetsuro Segawa, Mizuki's older brother, is his closest friend. As he is the host for the first Unit activated, he is known as "Guyver I".

The Guyver units are mysterious symbiotic bio-mechanisms that bond with a host, enhancing the host's own capabilities.

As the human race was developed as a weapon, the unit gives humans super-strength, incredible speed, strong armour, and various weapons and abilities:

Vibration Globe (口部金属球 Kōbu Kinzoku Kyū?): two orbs at the Guyver's mouth that produce highly destructive sound waves known as the "Sonic Buster" (聲波爆破 Shōha Bakuha?). Literally means "opening vibrating metal spheres".

Mega-Smasher (胸部粒子砲 Kyōbu Ryūshihō?): Two high-power particle cannons contained beneath the Guyver's chest armor. It should be noted that the Mega-Smasher is considered, in Guyver canon, to be the most powerful particle beam weapon in existence on Earth. It has been shown heavily gouging Mount Minakami, as proof of its raw power. The upgraded version in the Gigantic versions of the armor are even more powerful at 100 times the power of the Mega-Smasher. The Gigantic version of the Mega-Smasher is called the Giga-Smasher. In Bioboosted Armor Guyver, the Mega-Smasher is shown to require a significant amount of time to recharge after being fired. Its original name literally means "entire chest particle cannon".

Head Beam: A multi-directional laser mounted just above the Control Metal on the Guyver's head. In the 2005 anime series, Lisker explains it utilizes excess body heat.

High Frequency Swords (高周波ソード Kōshūha Sōdo?): Blades that extend from the Guyver's forearms. These blades vibrate at an extremely high frequency allowing them to cut through almost any material with ease. Also known as Sonic Swords (see vibroblade). Its name literally stands for "high vibration wave swords".

Gravity Control Orb/Controller (重力制御球/裝置 Jūryoku Seigyokyū/Sōchi?): The Gravity Controller siphons gravitational energy from a higher dimension. Two main uses include giving the Guyver the ability to fly and to unleash destructive gravity waves in the form of a directed "Gravity Cannon", also known as the "Pressure Cannon" (重壓砲 Jūatsuhō?). It could also be used to block attacks like a small temporary shield.

Hyper Sense: Each Guyver displays two metallic orbs on either side of its head. These orbs give the Guyver the ability to sense electromagnetic fields outside of their direct line of physical sight. The manga often displays this as an outline of whatever body the Guyver is sensing. It also appears to have some thermal sensing properties. This ability was demonstrated early by Guyver I, and has gone unnamed until its recent usage by the unknown female Guyver. The Gigantic exhibits two sets of these organs.

Control Metal (制御装置/控制金屬 Seigyō Sōchi/Kōsei Kinzoku) located on the Guyver's forehead, this metal button-like sphere regulates the energy flow between the organism and the host's body, as well as preventing the alien parasite that the Guyver system is based on from literally eating its host alive. It also records the genetic structure, and memories of its host, so that if the host is injured or killed, it regenerates that host from even the smallest bits of genetic material. If the Control Metal is destroyed, the Unit absorbs its host. The Control Metal has tentacles that reach into the host's brain, and is the hard wiring of the Unit that allows the host to use the systems of the Guyver. During the joining with the Guyver, the host's body is changed permanently. The Guyver leaves two growths on the back of the host, that act as a form of 'transceiver' to Guyver while also being able to sense other Guyver hosts nearby. When the host calls for the Guyver, a signal is sent and the Guyver is activated. When not needed, the armor is stored in what can best be described as a sub-dimension; it follows the host constantly so as to be instantly available when needed. When the Guyver is called by its host, its appearance causes a destructive burst that damages anything within a few feet of the host's body.

While extremely hardy, there are a number of things that can damage or destroy a Guyver. The various Enzyme-type Zoanoids were specifically developed to exude a type of acid that dissolves the Bio-Booster Armor. A battle-trained, experienced Zoalord has enough pure power to destroy a Guyver, as do some of the Hyper Zoanoids. Finally, the Creators developed a tool called the 'Unit-Remover'. It actually deletes host data from the Control Metal, forcing the Guyver to return to its inactive state. The condition of the human host after being subjected to the Remover's effects is unclear. Unlike the Zoanoids, the Guyver is humanoid in form - mostly because its hosts are human. The Guyver would have been used by the command crew element of Creator spaceships, and in later chapters, Shō uses his Control Metal to speak telepathically with one of the craft.

A Guyver unit itself is semi-sentient and can act on its own to a limited extent, if its host is unable to direct it. In this mode it will usually take no action except to defend itself from what it perceives to be a threat. Guyver I was in this mode when he first assumed his bioboosted form, when he was regenerated by the Control Metal in Chronos headquarters, and when he killed the Zoanoid his father had been turned into. It is presumably also this semi-sentience that prevents the host from disengaging the armor if they have sustained injuries that would prove fatal without the Guyver's protection and ability to rapidly heal from damage--Guyver I has demonstrated the ability to regrow approximately 50% of the host's brain and skull in a matter of minutes.

The first Guyver was an experiment by the Creators aeons ago. They were curious as to how their newly developed weapons would react to their standard armament (Guyver Unit). However, the Guyver (dubbed Guyver 0) attacked the Creators, destroying one of their ships. The human would not remove the armor when ordered to. The Creators programmed the humans to be telepathically controlled by them and so, as this human would not listen, the bio-booster human was named 'Guyver' (a word meaning "out of control" in the Creators' language, though other versions give it as "beyond the norm", and Bioboosted Armor Guyver gives the meaning as "not to specification"). They gave the 'Unit Remover' to Archanfel who then proceeded to remove the unit from the human and incinerate him.

- Artemis

Thought generally refers to any mental or intellectual activity involving an individual's subjective consciousness. It can refer either to the act of thinking or the resulting ideas or arrangements of ideas. Similar concepts include cognition, sentience, consciousness, and imagination.Because thought underlies almost all human actions and interactions, understanding its physical and metaphysical origins, processes, and effects has been a longstanding goal of many academic disciplines including, among others, biology, philosophy, psychology, and sociology.

Horses

by Barbara Fisher

During the entire night of Nuit Blanche Toronto, the streets offer sanctuary for thousands upon thousands of people. This year, a small group of horses will be amongst them. Their appearance might be reminiscent of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when the city still had a substantial population of livestock roaming streets, hauling freight, and living in backyard stables until animal husbandry became prohibited in the 1900's.

The presence of horses might come as a surprise, heightening our perception of the city as an environment virtually exclusively designed for humans. Companion pets are tolerated as long as they are bridled by safety measures and movement constraints. The horses momentarily return to the city - if only for this night - as another species, a formidable one, and one that stands in place for species whose sentience is not commonly recognized in our language, yet once were companions that occupied an important place in the city. They heighten the perception of the city as a place from which most animals continue to be expelled, declared as pests, taken to slaughter, shot, or are kept in the safe enclosures of the zoo.

This project has been designed with the greatest care and consideration for the horses. They are able to rest and roam while accompanied by trained staff who are dedicated to their safety and well-being. Trained staff and volunteers will be responsible for managing audience and crowd flow.

INDIVIDUAL: PRIMAL DEITY: Pipi'Loan is an Idol–Class Pagan “god” that has manifested in the mortal realm multiple times and worshipped as a deity by various cults and tribes of lesser humanoids. Pipi’Loan’s traits resemble those commonly characteristic of females, but it is technically genderless and does not identify itself with any gender. It belongs to the “Idol” class of Primal Deity, being a large and extravagant figure exuding immense energy but possessing little articulation. In all its incarnations, Pipi’Loan was recorded as measuring about 12 meters in height and 7 meters across, and at the peak of its power likely had a reinforced Durability Value totaling around 25,000–30,000. It was/is malevolent and exhibits/exhibited ambition for conquest, but was never a truly significant cosmic threat.

Like all beings of its type, Pipi’Loan is a “false god”, a powerful demon–like entity spontaneously brought into existence out of the universe’s Primal Energies and initially manifested through Nature. These beings, known as “Primal Deities”, possess enormous magical power and limited influence over mortal affairs within a certain vicinity of their locations, but require worship by mortals in order to properly exercise their abilities. Thus from their existence are born cults and Idolatry throughout the universe. Usually those who worship such creatures are of a lower order of intelligence and civilization, and in societies loyal to the Divine will of God the Father they cannot rise to power. If and when able to gather a sufficiently large following, they become comparable in relative power to an Archangel and may become capable of leading vast empires under their worship.

Primal Deities may appear in the void long before they actually manifest in the mortal world, where they are kept company only by others of their kind. Typically, they are banished back into this realm after being vanquished or otherwise falling from power, but if killed under certain ceremonies may be completely destroyed and cease to exist. They vary between one another in intelligence and sentience levels. Obviously, those that are more intelligent and capable of reason are generally more “successful”. In rare cases, more sophisticated primal deities may even join forces with one another and create polytheistic “Pantheons”. This generally is only possible if all Deities involved have previously manifested and been established as “gods” in the areas they intend to occupy. When united in a “Pantheon”, they become even more powerful and potentially threatening to the will of God. According to historical scripture, several such collaborations existed among the Humans on Earth.

Pipi’Loan is a moderately large and powerful Idol, and first manifested on the planet Kugrun around Age 171 Relative, where it came to be worshipped by the Anyugari race throughout the reign of their Empire from Ages 180–261 Relative, when they were dismantled by their own civilly warring tribes. Following the revival of the Anyugari Empire, Pipi’Loan was manually resurrected in Age 300 Relative, and remained in power until Age 415, when the Anyugari Empire was defeated once and for all. In Age 632, Pipi’Loan was brought forth on the planet Terramos by a random surge in the Primal Energies, and was defeated by the divine forces of that planet within the same year.

“The Walking Furnace” Character Brief

The furnace/oven was built by Baba Yaga, that ancient witch of Russian folklore, who used it to cook children.

It was an ordinary stove/oven/furnace until a young Russian noble attempted to set Baba Yaga’s hut on fire. In retaliation, Baba Yaga stole the soul of the noble’s unborn son and placed it deep within the stove, to fuel the fires that would never die – and give the stove sentience, the ability to move.

The walking furnace has never known of its humanity. From its perspective it was born a stove. The stove was trained to follow the orders of Baba Yaga, without thought or conscious. Its mystic origins makes it nigh invincible, it has lived for over 600 years. It does not have any kind of proper name, Baba Yaga calls it “Ka-Meen” (Russian for “fireplace”) when she is feeling affectionate and “Pyech” (Russian for “oven”) when she is in a bad mood.

Description: it’s a pot bellied cast iron stove with a stone brick chimney. The bricks are red – there is a degree of back soot accumulation, thickest at the chimney top. Cast iron is black, with tooled/hammer marks. At the back – just at the point where the chimney meets the cast iron is a shoulder and set of arms made of duct work. These arms are jointed in such a way that the furnace can direct blasts of super hot air in specific directions. The entire structure, chimney included, stands about 9 feet tall. It has 4 legs which is uses for localized locomotion, and it can use blasts of hot air for additional boosts of speed – including a long distance power jump (arms pointed straight down).

Mor'du is a demon-bear and the main antagonist from Disney/Pixar's 2012 film Brave. He also appears in Temple Run: Brave and the Legend of Mor'du.

As a human, Mor'du was powerfully built and was the tallest of his brothers. He had brown hair and a beard, and wore a dark colored robe and fur cloak. He did not wear a shirt, which showed that his body was covered with various tattoos. He also had unnaturally glowing yellow eyes.

As a bear, Mor'du is completely black, very large and is taller than King Fergus. He has many hideous scars and wounds across his body as well as arrows sticking from his upper back due to all the fighting, carnage and murder he had committed (killing men, women, and children). This makes him appear malformed and rugged, but still very large. His face is the most disfigured of all, and has one glowing yellow eye and one dead red eye.

When Mor'du was human, he had once possessed a close fatherly-brotherly love for his father and three younger brothers. However, he was confident in his strength but confused this for character and thus led to his arrogance, a trait that caused him to struggle with his loved ones. Like Merida, he let his pride control his actions and clashed with his family, but unlike Merida he was willing to let hatred and desire get the better of him instead of realizing his mistake and mend what was left of his broken family. His desire for power drove him to go far enough to start a violent war, and then ultimately killed his own brothers in cold blood.

As a black bear, Mor'du's hatred and rage manifested through his actions and carnage, especially when he slaughtered his remaining family. However, after fighting his own men, his violent nature would eventually consume what was left of his humanity, leaving his human mind and conscience buried deep within the mind of his cursed form. As a result, Mor'du was left as a vicious, malevolent monster incapable of sentience. His uncontrollable violence was so prominent that even a young woman could fall victim to his murderous intentions.

When he was finally killed, the spirit of the eldest prince was finally released and, apparently learning from his tyrannical mistakes and what his intense lust for power had turned him into, thanked Merida with respect for releasing him and moved on peacefully to the afterlife; becoming a will-o-wisp.

In parapsychology and many forms of spiritual practice, an aura is a field of subtle, luminous radiation supposedly surrounding a person or object (like the halo or aureola of religious art) that some people are claimed to be capable of observing by means of their third eye.[1][2] The depiction of such an aura in religious art usually connotes a person of particular power or holiness.

Metaphysical contexts

In metaphysical terms, "spirit" has acquired a number of meanings:

1.An incorporeal but ubiquitous, non-quantifiable substance or energy present individually in all living things. Unlike the concept of souls (often regarded as eternal and usually believed to pre-exist the body) a spirit develops and grows as an integral aspect of a living being.[citation needed] This concept of the individual spirit occurs commonly in animism. Note the distinction between this concept of spirit and that of the pre-existing or eternal soul: belief in souls occurs specifically and far less commonly, particularly in traditional societies. One might more properly term this type/aspect of spirit "life" (bios in Greek) or "ether" rather than "spirit" (pneuma in Greek).

2.A daemon sprite, or especially a ghost. People usually conceive of a ghost as a wandering spirit from a being no longer living, having survived the death of the body yet maintaining at least vestiges of mind and of consciousness.

3.In religion and spirituality, the respiration of a human has for obvious reasons become seen as strongly linked with the very occurrence of life. A similar significance has become attached to human blood. Spirit in this sense denotes that which separates a living body from a corpse — and usually implies intelligence, consciousness and sentience.

4.Various animistic religions, such as Japan's Shinto and various Native American and African tribal beliefs, focus around invisible beings which represent or connect with plants, animals (sometimes called "Animal Fathers"), or landforms; translators usually employ the English word "spirit" when trying to express the idea of such entities.

5.Individual spirits envisaged as interconnected with all other spirits and with "The Spirit" (singular and capitalized). This concept relates to theories of a unified spirituality, to universal consciousness and to some concepts of Deity. In this scenario all separate "spirits", when connected, form a greater unity, the Spirit, which has an identity separate from its elements plus a consciousness and intellect greater than its elements; an ultimate, unified, non-dual awareness or force of life combining or transcending all individual units of consciousness. The experience of such a connection can become a primary basis for spiritual belief. The term spirit occurs in this sense in (to name but a few) Anthroposophy, Aurobindo, A Course In Miracles, Hegel, and Ken Wilber. In this use, the term seems conceptually identical to Plotinus's "The One" and Friedrich Schelling's "Absolute". Similarly, according to the panentheistic/pantheistic view, Spirit equates to essence that can manifest itself as mind/soul through any level in pantheistic hierarchy/holarchy, such as through a mind/soul of a single cell (with very primitive, elemental consciousness), or through a human or animal mind/soul (with consciousness on a level of organic synergy of an individual human/animal), or through a (superior) mind/soul with synergetically extremely complex/sophisticated consciousness of whole galaxies involving all sub-levels, all emanating (since the superior mind/soul operates non-dimensionally, or trans-dimensionally) from the one Spirit.

6.Christian theology can use the term "Spirit" to describe God, or aspects of God — as in the "Holy Spirit", referring to a Triune God (Trinity): "The result of God reaching to man by the Father as the source, the Son as the course ('the Way'), and through the Spirit as the transmission"[cite this quote].

7.In (popular) theological terms, the individual human "spirit" (singular, lowercase) is a deeply situated aspect of the soul[citation needed] subject to "spiritual" growth and change; the very seat of emotion and desire, and the transmitting organ by which humans can contact God. In a rare theological definition it consists of higher consciousness enclosing the soul.[citation needed] "Spirit" forms a central concept in pneumatology (note that pneumatology studies "pneuma" (Greek for "spirit") not "psyche" (Greek for "soul" — as studied in psychology).

8.Christian Science uses "Spirit" as one of the seven synonyms for God, as in: "Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love"

9.Harmonism reserves the term "spirit" for those which collectively control and influence an individual from the realm of the mind.

BECOMING & BEING

In the beginning there was the scribble

Then I saw a face

It surprised me

Parmenides said Being was real

Heraclitus said Becoming was real

Nietzsche agreed with Heraclitus

I agree and disagree with all of them

For me neither and both are real

DIVENIRE & ESSERE

All'inizio c'era lo scarabocchio
