** It's hard to believe that this shot was taken in late June 2019, the last day we were in France. We have been going to France at least once a year since 1980 but Covid has certainly put paid to many travel plans.

Back to the photograph this is probably one of the most beautiful prisons in the world. Though if you were locked up there the aesthetics of the building were probably far from your mind.

The Conciergerie is a former courthouse and prison in Paris, France, located on the west of the Île de la Cité, below the Palais de Justice. It was originally part of the former royal palace, the Palais de la Cité, which also included the Sainte-Chapelle. Two large medieval halls remain from the royal palace. During the French Revolution, 2,780 prisoners, including Marie-Antoinette, were imprisoned, tried and sentenced at the Conciergerie, then sent to different sites to be executed by the guillotine. It is now a national monument and museum.

For me it is – and I think it's the same for most of you – every time I stand, walk, run on a wide beach, feel the wind, smell the salt and hear the sound of the waves ...

And you probably also know this: "Clouds arise because the sun evaporates water from seas, lakes, rivers or streams and rises as water vapor. It's colder up there and the water vapor then turns into tiny water droplets that are so light that they can float." Smart sentences ... Sometimes you just want to float away with the elements :-)

I miss so much

Because everything is different on the beach

And I have endless wanderlust

Wanderlust for the foreign ...

Die ich so sehr vermisse

Weil alles anders ist am Strand

Und ich habe Fernweh ohne Ende

Fernweh für das Fremde ...

"You finally noticed me..."

The man was very disappointed when he saw me passing nearby with a camera and not capturing his beauty on two wheels. The only thing left for me was to go back and take a couple of photos. It all happened without a spoken sentence.

My contribution to Colorful Nature with the theme red Monday.

Red is sweet is a sentence from a Swedish children's rhyme about colors. red is sweet, green is nice etc

flickr friends+me = twice as nice

Thank you for putting up with me flickr friends. I know I type dyslexic all the time without realizing it. I leave words out of my sentences completely. My friends tell me they have learned a new language by being my buddy on instant messages. Now I just noticed I have been handing out spanish invites to all of my friends for two days! I told you yesterday I am still silly. Well here you go!!! LOL

Have a wonderful day!!

Sentenced to 5 years due to bad hairdo! :-)

What a difference a Year Makes

This was December 2019 , commuting in the dark and seeing the dawn rising . as the LUAS tram passed over the M50 motorway. I have been Working From Home . since late February , this year has gone in a blur of unexpected events and lots and lots of isolation. I don't know how I feel about commuting anymore. It seems like something from a bizarre Sci-fi film now :)

We are good at adapting !

In my older shot there were those sentences starting as "I am bored of summer I want winter" and stuff too I know :-) But we humanbeings, just get never enough right? :-)

Just for fun -- seeing the line up of flowers in various stages seem to form a sentence using different 'words' and 'punctuation marks'!

The stripes may mark him as the prisoner, yet the weight rests on her shoulders. His smoke drifts free into the night, while she sits bound by silence. On the steps of the Cathedral, the roles of captive and keeper quietly reverse. Shot in Cologne, Germany with a Leica M11 Mono and Summilux 50mm.

This sentence is made of lead (and a sentence of lead gives a reader an entirely different sensation from one made of magnesium).

This sentence is made of yak wool.

This sentence glows in the dark.

This sentence was born with a caul.

This sentence once spit in a book reviewer's eye.

This sentence suffered a split infinitive - and survived.

This sentence leaks.

Rows of prison cells in one of the cellblocks at the historic Alcatraz prison, San Francisco.

Every morning, I cross the threshold of my home and step into a society I no longer recognize. A world numb to real suffering, blind to genuine problems, yet hypersensitive and reactive to meaningless trivialities. Each time, it feels like descending into a hell of indifference and distortion — worse than any prison. In that moment, my body bends under the weight of a sentence that renews itself, day after day.

Once this red line appears on the tree, it is sentenced to be cut down. Those ashes are attacked by caterpillar of chine. And to try to save other trees, infected one are cut.
