Provides highly accurate hydrostatic, continuous Submersible Level Sensor. Is completely unaffected by foam, vapor, turbulence and condensate. Excellent chemical resistance. Available in PVC, PP, PVDF & 316SS. Standard Kalrez O-Ring, Teflon jacketed cable and integral molded weight for no floating. Ceramic sensing diaphragm. Flush sensor, non-clogging design. No programming needed. Perfect for tank level measurement of corrosive bulk chemicals.
Closer look at the sensor area. I'd like to add a humidity sensor at some point, but for whatever reason those are somewhat daunting.
the sensors stopped reporting, so I did a visual inspection. Some corrosion is evident, but no liquid penetration, and no physical breaks. One string is down, haven't had time to test each sensor yet, but they sustained the highest temperatures (178 F!) and are only rated to 185.
State: The state that the proximity sensor will operate.
Name: Name of the proximity sensor for the developer's use.
Sensor: The type of sensor. Avatars are currently the only option.
Distance: The distance that will trigger the proximity sensor.
Near State: The state that will be set when one or more avatars are within the distance.
Away State: The state that will be set when all avatars are outside the distance.
Note that up to 1 proximity sensor can be operating at one time.
In infrared. Cameras see infrared!
Anyhow, I had thought the Wiimote communicated via infared but it turns out it uses these LED's to orient itself in space utilizing triangulation
So it's a light source, not a sensor.
The Wiimote itself is a bluetooth device.
The new Valentine heart in Times Square glows brighter with the help of a sensor that visitors touch. Um, just make sure you wash your hands afterwards....
It is really frustrating to have a scratch on the sensor of my camera. It doesn't really affect most photographs. but it's there, and I know it. Methods for dealing with dust in the photographic chamber of dSLR cameras will hopefully improve over time.

A new report by Allied Market Research titled, "Proximity and Displacement Sensors Market - Global Opportunity Analysis and Industry Forecast, 2015 - 2022", forecasts the global proximity and displacement sensors market to reach $5.32 billion by 2020, registering a CAGR of 8.7% during 2015 - 2020. Presently, automotive industry is the largest end use segment with about 30%market share. North America is leading region with large presence of technologically advanced manufacturing companies, closely followed by the Asia Pacific. However, Asia Pacific is expected to overtake North America by 2016 due to strong demand from robust automotive and manufacturing industries in Asian countries, especially in China and India.
I'm skipping the intermediate efforts but this is what it looked like after about four cleaning attempts. I tried wrapping a PecPad wipe around a SensorSwab Type 3 swab and found that it made the swab almost too large. I had a difficult time inserting the swab into the chamber without making significant contacts with the sides. Also, I couldn't seem to get a properly aligned consistent swipe across the sensor face (well, actually the protective glass above the sensor).
I was able to remove most of the dirt but I was left with numerous "blotchy" areas that I seemed to have introduced. These are exaggerated when using PS auto level and don't seem to be visible when I take a picture, but they look annoying.
At this point, I gave up on the PecPads, ran out of swabs (I thought I could do it with 3 swabs), and decided to take the camera to the Nikon service center in El Segundo, CA, for a "professional" cleaning (which is located about 2 km away from where I work).
Not on the filter, not on the lens, but right on the freaking sensor!
I don't even change lenses often what the hell.
Anyway, I didn't have any kind of blower, and blowing on it with my mouth wouldn't remove the dirt, so I said my prayers and use a microfiber cloth gently on the lens and that took care of the problem.
