The only foggy morning in July 2022, and without previous rain.

On Tuesday of this week I once again couldn't get out of the Wittlich valley not far from home to capture a few morning moods with the camera.

11 days ago at sunrise in the Wittlich valley.

The fog in the background acted like a filter and made it possible to capture the scene with just one image (no HDR).

In the morning just after 6 a.m. at sunrise in the fog

(hard drive found, exactly 13 years ago today).

In mid-December we had some really cold winter days with fog and sun, still better than the current grey-in-grey.

This is Tunnel View entering into Yosemite National Park. This is in the opposite direction of the valley which are the most popular shots. While I have shots of Tunnel View too this side is also pretty. On a frosty winter day on the outskirts of where I live.

...often begin with fog, which becomes thicker towards sunrise. It's good when you stand in a promising place to see anything at all.

...beginnen oft mit Nebel, der gegen Sonnenaufgang dichter wird. Gut, wenn man dann an einer aussichtsreichen Stelle steht, um überhaupt noch etwas zu sehen.

Often I think of Tuscany, when I stand above the Wittlich valley in the morning and the early light and fine mist enchant the landscape.

First butterfly macro for this year from yesterday morning.

The green-veined white remained at its sleeping place in the morning sun with absolutely no wind, still covered in morning dew and therefore not able to fly.

A little review of July 2020.

It's the region where I find most of my morning moods in the other direction.

Another version of my home location on a different morning ... every time beautiful, I think.

At the moment of the upload (7.45 a.m.) the morning sky looks exactly like this ... ok, too late to be on site with the camera in time.

Eine weitere Version von meiner "Heimlocation" an einem anderen Morgen...jedes Mal wieder schön wie ich finde. Gerade im Moment des uploads (7:45 Uhr) sieht der Morgenhimmel genau so aus...ok, zu spät, um noch rechtzeitig mit der Kamera vor Ort zu sein.

As "MoselEifel" one calls the area between Wittlich and Trier, because here the Eifel favors similarly as the Moselle of the climate.

Das vorher gesagte schlechte Wetter ließ auf sich warten und ich hoffte auf einen schönen Morgenhimmel.

Als MoselEifel bezeichnet man die Gegend zwischen Wittlich und Trier, weil hier die Eifel ähnlich wie die Mosel vom Klima begünstigt ist.

A month ago today on the outskirts of where I live.

The "MoselEifel" is the name of the Eifel landscape that lies to the left of the Moselle and still benefits from the warmer temperatures of the Moselle region.

Als MoselEifel wird die Landschaft der Eifel bezeichnet, die links von der Mosel liegt und noch von den wärmeren Temperaturen der Moselregion profitiert.

At the end of May 2020 just before half past five in the morning on the edge of a barley field in the Wittlich valley.

Exactly 2 years ago today... and the weather was much better than it is now.

After an early photo session, on the way home, I saw in the rearview mirror how the sun struggled golden through the fog. Fortunately, I was able to stop there and quickly snap a few pictures before the show was over.

Nach einer frühen Fotosession sah ich auf dem Heimweg im Rückspiegel, wie sich die Sonne golden durch den Nebel kämpfte. Zum Glück konnte ich dort anhalten und schnell ein paar Bilder schiessen, bevor das Schauspiel vorbei war.
