This waterfall tried to drown me. At the left is a staircase that leads behind the falls. I climbed it and was promptly doused with spray. Being hardy and not wanting to lose my opportunity for a good shot, I waited a few seconds for the spray to die down. It didn't. I had to change my pants.

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall is one of the best known, most exciting and easiest to visit. This location has been photographed .... definitely there are many better captured photos than my attempts. It was a nice day, but I found it overwhelming with the number of people that I am still processing the photos with little enthusiasm. This is a place I have been to 3 times, and if I had the weather I would have revisited at 10pm! Next Time!!!

Just one of the many breathtaking sights Iceland had to offer in the week I spent there! Two hundred feet tall and easily visible from the ring road on Iceland south coast! The temperature was low enough to freeze the spray on the grass lining the pool the fall empties into. It's possible to walk 360° around the falling water and watch the water cascade down from behind! Such a cool experience!
