inspired by "Oyaji"-this japanese word can mean a man roams in the street with the typical big HARAMAKI belt, "Oyaji" misses elegance but caracter sympathy, just like a popular man.
With this theme i wanted to recreate sunny souvenirs my grandpa left me, and i tried to combinate the details and the silhouettes in a lovely way: big HARAMAKI (high waisted) pants, SUTETEKO (loose silhouette) jeans, low waist belt Trench coat, "cargo" jacket etc...
in fact this is my last collaboration with Mr.OTSUKA, after this collection i took a very long vacation^^; out of creating a entire collection but some pieces.

pure : like petal of rose wet with first dew in the morning... pale and dalicate
nogtalgie : like worm souvenirs of our mother or grandma, by using materials/colors/motifs nostalgic
sexy : like butterfly attract by flower, black lace dresses, etc...

A floral Tight pants pants, inspired by 70's atmosphere, Feminin and casual.
Silhouette encompassing and fix to the hips like a draping-cut pants, straight and not too tight to the ankle.
Flower Print material is no-stretched so if you wish something more easy to wear on a daily basis , the Check Stretched material is more recommended.
But you can have more feminin and High fashion effect with the Flower Print material.

Distinctive design of the opend front, and three-quarter sleeves, and large the lapel, raglan sleeves but with narrow shoulders, deep pockets easy to use... the "mobility" and "feminity" are essential of the design.
Adjust a belt to the waist makes a cool atmosphere.

My late mother Shamim Shakir wore the chador .
My maternal grand mother Nazmi Begum widow of Daroga Nabban Saab wore the burkha.My maternal grandmother hardly left her house at Pata Nala Lucknow .Her husband Daroga Nabban Saab was related to poet Mir Anis and was himself a poet too
My grand mother was his second wife.
My paternal grand mother Khurshed Baji was a Shia Momin she married a Sunni wealthy vinegar merchant who not only left his house and his wealth but became a Shia too.
We are offshoots of his Faith in Humanity we call it Shiasm.
My paternal grand mother was from Vazir Ganj and remained unmarried when her husband predeceased her His name was Bashir Hussain.
My grand mother wore the burkha.
Her companion Chanda Begum wore the chador.
My daughter in laws wear the burkha my wife wears the Chador and the Hijab sometimes she wears the fully covered hijab too I have to shoot her one day.
So I have been literally been bought up on the hijab.. and I think it has a right to live it is a symbol of peace and our Womanhood of Islam.
My grand daughter Marziya Shakir wears the head scarf and the hijab too and she is two and a half years old.
So I defend the hijab poetically spiritually and morally too.
I do it for both my grand mothers my mother my wife and my women folk.

I see her near the Bandra Reclamation signal, I beckon her, she knows I will photograph her, but she also thinks I might give her some money as I raise my camera she runs..into the moving traffic.
She lives in the shanties not far by.
Perhaps she goes to the Municipal free school in the morning and than comes here to add to the family kitty...
This is nothing unusual, here in Mumbai, there are more pathetic cases than this..for me as a poet she was like a butterfly flitting from one car to the next, in great hurry..
