"Self Reflection" by Loree Johnson Photography. A western grebe (Aechmophorus occidentalis) contemplating its own reflection at Tulelake National Wildlife Refuge, California.
Another 35mm film photography assignment. It's me in the bathroom mirror myspace style lol. Not exactly your usual facebook/myspace shot though is it? Tried something different by using a flash on "slave" mode and fully exposing myself(hahaha) with the flash, no ambient light since the lights were off in the bathroom.
Photo of me as a fresh soul in this world taken by my proud father 1977.... now years later trying to remain the innocence and dreams of making a difference in the direct world around us. the future of the world is the kids of today, by remembering where we came from we should make a stamp of the world already today!

A photo serioes of self portraits taken by my friend Nick Larson. This is a depiction and representation of diving deeper into myself. A conceptual thought process of who I am.
There's nothing I dislike more than being at the mercy of other people's decisions. This is 2012 and this marks a new begining in my life. I will do the things I love and experience the world and finally be my own person. If you think I'm crazy, I ask you, "What would you do with a day in my shoes?"
Today marks the start of my 365 project :) I will also be completing my abc project simultaneously. Hooray for the New Year :D

This is the first photo in my photo essay. I wanted to draw a lot of influence from the still life artists of the 17th/18th century to explain a little more about myself. This is the area where I spend my time on work or maybe to think on certain things. It's also a place I use to charge my laptop when it's almost out of battery.
Photo captured via the HDR method of photography at the 2nd vista point on eastbound Highway 299 near the Hatchet Mt. Summit, at 4368 feet above sea level. Shasta County. On the last day of December 2012.
Composed this picture whilst attempting to answer the very purpose of unprecedented challenges in life. The new avenues and opportunities that is waiting to reveal is often ignored without such challenges. The bursting rays reminded the saying " Every cloud has a silver lining"
...all my thoughts come to light.
For the SELF REFLECTIONS challenge, taken for Flickr Group Roulette.
"Dive" by Chelsea Lynn Winter

This piece was inspired by my feelings of self-reflection. Sometimes, I have to dive deep and reflect on the darker parts of myself. This process will always benefit my healing and growth. I may not have PTSD anymore, but it does not hurt to keep working on things and to keep improving. Stagnation and stubbornness to change removes the opportunity for positivity. To truly find inner peace, you must look within yourself.

This piece is part of my art therapy series. To better express my symptoms and emotions, I create based on what I am feeling. This started off as a tool for release and explanation but has now become a regular form of expression. Please feel free to use any of the pieces from this series as a way to help express how you are feeling. This could be a tool for you and your therapist, or simply to show a friend or family member. Please remember that mental health is important.

Reflected in the corpus of the samovar, on the left its faucet,on the right my hands with the camera.
One of my best and most interesting "reflections" I believe - though nobody deigned to take notice of it so far. Sure, I'll have to post it to some groups now. ;)
