A Life In Bits is the moving story of one man's battle with bipolar disorder, a condition whose devastating consequences are still not fully appreciated by the world at large. Charles McMullen’s battle with manic depression, as it is often known, began with a nervous breakdown at the age of nineteen. In his twenties, the suicide of his brother, his own divorce and the loss of his job and his home put him inside a psychiatric hospital. Yet despite the periods of appalling despair and the continued setbacks, Charles can still write at the end of the book ‘Overall, it’s been a pretty happy life’. This inspirational book will be of great interest to anyone who is afflicted by bipolar disorder, or knows one of the many people – roughly one in 25 of the population - who are.

Taiwan - In the countryside, the funerals are usually accompanied by local chapels. When a family member dies, their body is kept in the house, or in a tent built specifically for this purpose. After a set period of time, the deceased, accompanied by a funeral procession is buried.
A few pages inside my Parking Lot zine. It was a zine I did in the summer, that was only constructed while in a car, waiting in the parking lot. Filled with doodles. :)
Fiona Goldsby has emerged triumphant from the terrifying experience of suffering a serious brain tumour. She found very little written material was available to help her in her battle, so she has written Tallulah Tumour, Friend or Foe? to help others dealing with a similar diagnosis. It is intended to provide information about what the patient may expect, with hints and tips to deal with the various side effects. The information in the book will not only be helpful to patients but to caregivers and family members. And as you may guess from the title, there is plenty of humour as well. Profits from sales of this book will be donated to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
