On 2009.08.23 I visited the Bay Area Power Team and got to hear Stu Mittleman (the Man who ran 1,000 miles in 11 days) speak.
Stu followed up that run by running 3,000 miles across the United States.

The phrase "be yourself" which has become a kind of universal requirement for modern life, and the remedy for all known existential maladies, was barely used before about 1981, the year I was 18. Same for 'follow your heart', incidentally.

Okay, so I used to be a self help book junkie. Always looking for something inspiring to "turn my life around".
Majority of them just sit on the shelves, collecting dust over the course of 7 years.
Now I'm finding interest in reading them again. Or at least skim through to the good stuff ;D
In the UK, there are thousands of people suffering from Emetophobia (the fear of being sick).
Rob Kelly, author and creator of the Thrive Programme, launched the UK's first National Emetophobia Awareness Day to help educate and support those that suffer from the phobia to understand and overcome their fear.
Rob launched a new self help guide based upon the Thrive Programme, on the back of his 25 years of clinical experience and research.
Rob Kelly launched his new paperback book in person at No 1 Wimpole Street and revealed the latest research on Emetophobia to help UK sufferers with the condition. Alongside him were be clients, who have cured themselves using the Thrive Programme, to talk about their stories and experiences.
Lisa Sarasohn, Belly Queen is a bodywork and yoga therapist and an advanced Kripalu Yoga instructor. Her 20 years' experience facilitating body-mind integration includes seven years on staff at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA.
Lisa's articles on honoring the belly have appeared in publications including Yoga Journal, Radiance, SageWoman, Caravan Trails, and Personal Transformation. Her workshops have been sponsored by colleges and universities, health education agencies, and holistic learning centers such as Omega Institute.
