The Stirring Rod

I cast a spell every now and then.

A single wave transforms a transparent liquid

to aqua blue, then lavender

or renders it invisible. Magic.

So, I listed a picture of a sign that I would would be a funny representation of me. Well, not the right thing to do for the 365 day set. Oopsy, sorry for the screw up.

So many emotional days have culminated into this one day.

7:00am: woke up

8:30am: breakfast

9:30am: began backing the truck and finalizing the last minute things around the house.

3:00pm: final things loaded on the truck.

3:30pm: pulled out of our house in Arlington to set out for the trip south to Florida

.....ended up driving straight through.

5:30am: showed up in Florida, exhausted....

6:00am: got in bed for some sleep

1:00pm: got up and unloaded the truck at the new house....

5:oopm: on our way to return the rental truck....

and the seemed to keep going....

feeling revived after about 20 winks....

I know, I know... kinda scary but I was having fun.

I looked up a list of quotations from Descartes. I wonder what ideas were motivating this doodler.

A collection of Street Art from New Brighton Park in East Vancouver, BC. This park parallels the waterfront to the West of the Iron Worker's Memorial Bridge. It is nestled beside a grain terminal.

This group of photos from New Brighton were inspired by the work from www.flickr.com/photos/claytonperry ~Clayton Perry Photography~

Incase you are wondering, my tattoo is the "Eye of Horus" :)

I love my dreads and dreadfully to some, my very own hair gives others insight into a world of wig culture and couture, for those that lack vision....here it is, you can still have your very own dreads (art incarnate) and still be a working actress. So here are the many faces of At@ri Harikari... the evolution started long ago, now its just plain Atari Harikari Revolution...

Today, it was cold, windy, and snowed for just a bit. The snow was blowing around and rather large flakes. Then, as soon at it started, it was over. It was another frosty day.

SLH #42-61. Other good gifts include the PVC outfit from Crissy Designs (#48), the sperm swing from Miasma (#56), and to some extent these boots from TD Boots (#57), which have a great floral design but then are cheapened by a bland chain looping below the top. There were prizes in this set that weren't that impressive, but nothing that I'd go so far as to bitch about this time. One prize features on its jewelry some of the tackiest bling I've ever seen, but i guess some people like that sort of stuff. I never went through a bling phase as a newbie, so I just don't get it. Other anti-bling folks, be warned, though.

Art Journal page....

I was suddenly inspired and grabbed my journal.... Had to dust it off (It's been quite awhile!) and out came this page.

I don't really like my lettering though...shouldn't have used the fat pen....

They say we're safer at home, but are we. What if this shelter in place means you're not stuck full time with your abuser? What happens if you depend on things like support groups to handle your recovery? What if you live alone. What if you live alone and you're sick. How bout depression? What if you have depression? What if all this isolation has caused you to develop depression.

We are humans and we need human contact to survive normally, if that's a such thing. When this is removed from long periods of time, what are the circumstances and why isn't anyone coming up with ways to effectively help folks cope with it. I don't mean simply prescribing medication which only numbs a person, not actually help a person. We will not be able to meditate our way out of this.
