He looked back and saw me composing the photograph. Then I clicked, twice. The camera is so silent it is wonderful for this type of thing.
As I advanced the film I walked past him. We both looked back at the same time. He smiled. I told him I had taken a photo of him and promised that if it came out okay I would personally show him the shot. :)

As the rest of the country waited for the evening's Paralympic Games opening ceremony to begin, activists from DPAC, WinVisible and the Direct Action Network (DAN) delivered a coffin to the doors of ATOS Origin's Headquarters, with messages from the relatives and loved one of sick and disabled people who have been through the French IT company's much-reviled Work Capability Assessment and who were all taken off the benefits which made their lives both possible and bearable, and who all died or committed suicide shortly afterwards.

My boyfriend got a Canon 17-85mm lens for his Rebel recently. This is one of the trial shots, taken at LaSalle station of the CTA Blue line. It was rather empty and dismal on the "Black Friday."
Contrast has been pumped up (as you might be able to easily tell... :P)

One of the guards just outside his cabin on one side of the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa, Canada. The remains of the soldier buried there were exhumed on the morning of May 16, 2000, and the coffin was flown in a Canadian Forces aircraft to Ottawa on May 25, accompanied by a 45-person guard of honour, a chaplain, Royal Canadian Legion veterans, and two representatives of Canadian youth. In Ottawa, the unknown soldier lay in state for three days in the Hall of Honour in the Centre Block on Parliament Hill. (Ottawa, Canada, June 2015)

I got this shot at about 9am. I didn't notice the cone when I took the shot, but I think it works quite well. The fluidity of the roof structure is rather apparent here too.
Taken with an Yashica Electro 35 rangefinder camera without battery installed. Light metering is done with sunny 16 rule.
I got this one real fast before his friends (one of which was the guy smirking in the background) woke him up. He was snoring so loud!
