More than 30 alumni and spouses from the 366th Security Police Squadron K9 visited Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, May 5, for what would be their final reunion tour. The former 366 SPS K9 handlers had served together in Da Nang, Vietnam, many having met their spouses prior to their service there. The trip to the 37th Training Wing included a visit to the 341st Training Squadron, the Transportation Security Administration, the Security Forces Museum and the U.S. Military Working Dog Teams National Monument. Here we see Rodney trying to get his leg over (the side of a ship) while his squadron commander barks helpful commands, such as "...be careful Rodney, watch out for the sharp edge of the ship!..." or, "...don't look down - it might make you a little giddy!...". While below we can see one of Rodney's comrades in arms looking for one of his contact lenses which fell out after he landed heavily by parachute.

Last week was Police Week. During this week, there is a shooting competition between all the different agencies, including the air force security forces. I was lucky enough to get to go and photograph the shootout....thanks to my husband. Since I work for the security forces squadron now, I get to enjoy their activities. A lot of the guys out there were using their issued weapons. This particular fellow used his personal weapon and the grips caught my eye.

Throughout the course the students learn how to operate the ROVER and have classes on maneuvers. They must set up a tactical operations center during the course and put their training to the test during several field training exercises.
