More than 30 alumni and spouses from the 366th Security Police Squadron K9 visited Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, May 5, for what would be their final reunion tour. The former 366 SPS K9 handlers had served together in Da Nang, Vietnam, many having met their spouses prior to their service there. OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb.-Tech. Sgt. Anthony Pevestorf, military working dog handler, escorts Brig. Gen. John N.T. Shanahan around the newly renovated dog kennels, Nov. 18. The 1.3 million dollar renovation comes well equipped giving the dogs a 10x14 space with private dog house, heated floors, separate isolation kennels for sick dogs and other medical treatment just to name a few of the modern amenities. The 55th Security Forces K-9 section is responsible for searching over 3000 vehicles a year, securing 54,000 people and 9 billion in assets.
