The 343rd Training Squadron held the 15th Annual Fallen Defender Memorial Ruck March on Nov. 4, 2022, at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas. The purpose of the event is to honor all Security Forces members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Over 2,000 participants marched 4.76 miles, which inlcuded personnel from the 343rd TRS, Bexar County Sherriff's Office, San Antonio Police Department, Gold Star Families, JBSA-Lackland mission partners, and other units from around the world.

Family, friends and senior leaders from the Virginia National Guard greet Soldiers from the Provincial Reconstruction Team Security Force Platoon March 28 at Richmond International Airport. The Soldiers are among approximately 40 Virginia Guardsmen returning to airports across Virginia after the Soldiers served in federal active duty in Afghanistan since June 2011. The Soldiers returned to the United States March 23 and conducted demobilization activities at Camp Atterbury, Ind. to transition from active duty to National Guard status. They officially began federal active duty March 26, 2011, and trained at Camp Atterbury for about two months prior to deploying to Afghanistan. The members of the platoon performed more than 640 security missions in support of PRT Uruzgan while the PRT was operating in potentially dangerous areas to rebuild infrastructure, assist with agriculture, build wells and provide healthcare to the people across the many provinces of Afghanistan. The PRT is a joint mission, manned by Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen from the active duty and reserve components of the U.S. military. The Soldiers are assigned to the Hampton-based 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery, 116th Brigade Combat Team, but are from all over the state including Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Staunton, Norfolk and the Hampton Roads area, as well as Southern Virginia. Randy Kehn, 140th Wing comptroller and commander of Task Force Joint Reception, Staging, and Onward Integration, briefs Colorado National Guard members about their role and the benefits details of State Active Duty status. The members will provide traffic control points and roving security patrols, to assist with the enforcement of road closures July 3, 2018, through Huerfano County, in support of the sheriff, to safeguard travelers and to protect the homes in the evacuated areas. A particular sensitivity addressed in the briefing was regarding their authorization, provided by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, to be armed and serve in a law enforcement role.
The CONG has supported the Spring Fire since July 1, 2018, providing capabilities to include: security personnel for traffic control points and roving patrols; two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crews and aircraft each equipped with aerial water buckets; geological information system operators; as well as, refueling crews with Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical refueling trucks and firefighters with HEMTT firefighting vehicles.
The CONG has been providing an aviation search and rescue standby capability in support of the Rocky Mountain Area Coordination Center since July 1. The High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site facility in Gypsum, Colorado, is supporting the mission which is rapid response to aviation search and rescue missions, primarily for firefighter safety, in support of multiple wildfire responses throughout Colorado.
On order of the Governor, the standing Joint Task Force - Centennial commands and integrates CONG forces to support civil authorities in assisting Colorado, or supported states, during times of crisis and disaster, to save lives, prevent suffering, and mitigate great property damage.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) RIB on patrol during the Northern Ireland International Airshow at Portrush.
A rigid-inflatable boat (RIB) is a light-weight but high-performance and high-capacity boat constructed with a solid, shaped hull and flexible tubes at the gunwale. The design is stable and seaworthy. The inflatable collar allows the vessel to maintain buoyancy even if a large quantity of water is shipped aboard due to bad sea conditions. The RIB is a development of the inflatable boat.
Uses include work boats (supporting shore facilities or larger ships) in trades that operate on the water, as well as use as lifeboats,police and military craft, where they are used in patrol roles and to transport troops between vessels or ashore.
