This is the one that nearly got me arrested. Waiting for herself to exit X-Ray, I wander down to this stairwell and notice the pattern on the wall. Down I go and shoot from various angles. Coming out of the stairwell, I hear shouts from the left as two blue-clad security men burst through swinging doors. My first instinct is to flee but I stand my ground! No cameras allowed! Sorry, I say, I didn't see any signs. NO CAMERAS ALLOWED! OK, fellas, no problem, sure. Hey would you like me to take a snap of you two fine strapping chaps? One guy actually goes to pose but the other fellow grabs him in time. Fair enough.....
And he asked me to photograph him, with security guards it's usually the other way around in photography... Asad was on duty along Stephen Avenue on Sunday, making sure that people weren't climbing on the big lighting towers workers were busy putting up... He and his partner were actually quite curious why I was photographing a garbage can close up, why to photograph circles of course since that is the President's Challenge at our local camera club, kind of funny actually when most of my photography downtown is of people and yesterday I was almost going out of my way to not photograph people...
Another entry for the iron forge! There are seven wrenches and six hammers used this time.
I started with a K2-SO inspired body, but added an original design for the head that is reminiscent of some other Star Wars droid models.
If anyone has idea regarding how a brick built K2-SO head might be constructed, I’d love to know!
This picture was taken in Louisville, Ky during our my school's Thanksgiving break. I am experimenting with low saturation, and so far I am impressed how good some of these photos looked.
This gecko was crawling on the flower, but sought refuge when I started shooting. When I was about to give up, it popped its head out, feeling secure enough to smile for the paparazzi.
Do you notice anything strange in this picture? No? Look again. You can check a larger version if you want.
Yes, the fence is about 5 meters above the ground. Some security fence.
A cattle drive and the coming of the railroad in brick relief on this bank in Valentine. The 3-D brick wall train scenes are popular in Nebraska, with the best known of being in Lincoln. I'll get to that one eventually but it was on the last day of this trip.
Street photography from the Hayward Gallery at the Southbank Centre in London. Loved the light and shadow on this, especially the framing of the security guard amongst the concrete brutalist structure of this iconic gallery.
An armed guard outside a Western Union money transfer business in Bacolod, Visayas, Philippines. Most businesses in the Philippines have armed guards, especially in the cities.

Day 144 - Private Security - obviously this figure was extremely influenced by one of my most favorite figures of KJ's - a private security figure based off the private security group Blackwater. Anyway, I've also included a modded BrickArms M4 with an AC8 scope, grenade launcher, and extended stock.
Thanks!
