A large tumulus and dolmen on the Gavrinis island in the Gulf of Morbihan. The island is around 600m long today and was perhaps 1km long in the Neolithic. A 50m diameter tumulus rises to around 7m and covers a dolmen with a gallery around 1.5 metres wide and 14 long. 29 slabs make up the 'Allée couverte' of which 23 are carved. One of the table stones is a part of a larger original carved stone that was moved around the dates of construction to three sites of massive megaliths on each side of the opening of the Bay of Morbhian into the Quiberon's Atlantic. I have yet to find the estimated original weight of the original carved stone but it is over 60 tonnes. The carved stone was split between 'du Rujk', Gavrinis and the 'Table des Merchand'. The Gavrinis element was covered in plastic several decades ago and the site is currently shut to remove the plastic which can promote a rotting of the stone.

There are three baptisms; Water, Spirit, and Fire.

Each one leads us along and prepares us for the next and what is to come in our walk with the Lord. Matthew 3:11

I wanted to wait to post this one, but the Lord kept putting a song loudly in my head for the past 2 weeks. When the Lord asks you to do something you should not hesitate, get lazy, or complacent. There is a type of suffering caused from not being obedient. We are blessed when we delight in him, work for his glory, and help build his kingdom to come.

Let him rattle your dry bones today and create a new life in you!

The tiny harvest mouse lives in long tussocky grassland, reedbeds, hedgerows, farmland and around woodland edges. It is mainly vegetarian, eating seeds and fruits, but will also eat invertebrates. Harvest mice build a spherical nest of tightly woven grass, high-up in the tall grasses, in which the female will give birth to around six young. The harvest mouse has pale, ginger or yellow fur, and a white belly. Its tail is almost hairless and nearly as long as its body. The harvest mouse is the only British mammal to have a prehensile tail: it can use it like a fifth limb, holding on to grass stems with it. UK population 1,425,000. The population trend is unknown but it is thought that numbers have declined in the last 40 years and they are now rare. They mainly occur in southern and eastern England, with a few records in the Midlands, the north of England and southern Scotland. They are absent from Ireland.

Harvest mice shred grasses by pulling them through their teeth and use the strips to weave a hollow nest, about the size of a tennis ball, about 50 – 100cm above the ground and secured to grass stems.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Horses are deeply social animals and feel secure in groups because isolation causes anxiety. They have a prey instinct and their response to perceived threats is to flee, making them easily startled by unfamiliar sights, sounds, or smells.

The abbey was founded in 1150 by a small group of Cistercian monks in the commune of Flotte-en-Ré, a few metres from the sea. A few years later, the abbey became one of the largest and most powerful abbeys in the west of France. Indeed, it was one of the largest religious monuments of the time and a large part of the Ile de Ré was run by this monastery.

However, in 1294 the Abbey of the Châteliers was destroyed for the first time by the English before being rebuilt a few years later. Then came a succession of religious wars, including the Hundred Years' War, in which the abbey was once again the victim with part of its building destroyed again in 1388 and a few years later in 1462 with much more serious damage.

In 1990 the building was classified as a historical heritage site and in 1997 the abbey was renovated and secured by the General Council of Charente-Maritime. Today, the abbey is a cultural site open to the public.

Now...... at last! Today we started with the bathroom. How good it´ll be when it is ready.... we aiming for the weekend now. The shed was areal mess, so we had to clean that out first. Gardening tools..... empty boxes..... sandbags..... well, name whatever you like and I´m sure we have it somewhere here. It is quite simple, the shed. So we have to do everything properly from the base. Plumbing, moisture secured floors and walls, Floor heating...... well, you know what I mean!

It took a while, before we decided the details...... and after that we did our "kick of". It is more job than we thought in the beginning, of course. But It´ll be a blessing to have something modern, at this place....... To build this together is so fun and nice. I´m really hooked on a feeling, a feeling of joy and excitement!

I don´t think I have time and strength to write you, until the new facility are ready..... and then I will tell you how it went, and if we are satisfied with the result. Anyway, it can´t become worser than it is..... or at least, more primitive.

Have to stop now.... Stella calling..... bye!
