My Saturday mornings are often reserved for exploring areas I haven't seen before, at a more leisurely pace than my normal 'oh-my-god-i-have-so-much-to-do' clip. I think I see more on Saturdays because I'm a little calmer. Like this secret passage that I must have passed 200 times and never really noticed.
The Vampire Knight meets up with a Gargoyle in the middle of the night.
I'm sure they are up to no good.
This is located near Page. We did the Hummer Slot Canyon Tours. I really liked the tour. We were the first tour out for the day, and there was only 10 people in the tour, and we had the whole canyon to ourselves. The tour guide, James, was very knowledgeable and didn't rush us. We spent, I would guess, at least 90 minutes in the canyon.
I must confess, I turned this photo 90 degrees to the left. My wife Shirley started doing this with her photos, and I liked it, so I did it on this photo.

Secret Scotland.
RAF GREENOCK began as a pre-war licensed seaplane base, and was officially established on October 10, 1940, when it became a Flying Boat Maintenance Base. The Greenock base worked together with the Largs Seaplane Base to the south, and concentrated on the fitting of British armaments and equipment to aircraft such as the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation twin engine PBY Catalina, manufactured in the company's San Diego plant, and flown to Scotland via the North Atlantic route. Records indicate that the Greenock maintenance base was formed when the outbreak of World War II made its original home in Calshot unsafe, being an easy target for Luftwaffe bombers attacking the south coast of England.
RAF aerial photography, and sketch maps of the time, show that RAF Greenock was concentrated on Battery Park, on the eastern shore of Gourock Bay. The base has been described as occupying the whole area of the park, with at least two large hangars, and a number of smaller, wooden buildings or huts. The RAF station occupied the south eastern corner of the site, next to the bay. The northern end of the site is known as Fort Matilda , and was occupied by the Royal Naval Torpedo Factory, and two barrage balloon mooring stations.
Although the pre-existing seaplane base meant there were service facilities to allow the work to be carried out, there appears to have been little accommodation available for station personnel, who were temporarily accommodated in the local ex-servicemen's club, and the Greenock Social Club, which inconvenienced the local population for a time. It was September 1942 before an accommodation camp was completed in nearby Darroch Park, now known as Gourock Park, and the personnel were finally accommodated in huts.
Operations at the base ended in July 1945, when it was reduced to care and maintenance in August 1945, and saw some civil use for commercial flying boats, which used the facility into the 1950s.

No matter how tough times have been and how much I wanted to be alone, music always found a way into the secret places of my soul, where a resonance is set in motion which makes my heart vibrate so strong that all dark thoughts are shaken off. Since I noticed that, I always grab my guitar in such times because I know that music will make me feel better, will help me to handle difficult situations and will heal the wounds.
PS: I hope you like my attempts to be more creative than „just“ taking bokehlicious flower pictures even though the editing in these images is far away from perfect, but using just Gimp and some free not really high resolution textures makes things not that easy. Anyway, let me know what you think :)

Makena Cove (aka Secret Cove or Pa'ako Beach) is a beautiful, crescent-shaped little beach in the shores of Maui, Hawaii.
Hidden behind a rock wall, this not-so-secret-anymore cove is popular amongst wedding photographers (and whoever wants to get married in Maui). If you are lucky, you might have this beach all for yourself; however it is more likely to share the location with few wedding groups and others enjoying beautiful views.

There are many of these secret gardens in and around the city of Edinburgh. The fact that they are open to the public makes them less of a secret but to me that is exactly how they feel. I prefer to take the romantic view whenever possible...
This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel Bistre, Noir 55981, and Sanguine inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper. I printed an edition of 8 numbered prints and 3 A/P prints.
