"We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came."

Many years ago we traveled to Maui. One of my favorite moments was when I spotted this long nosed fish. A bit of online sleuthing led me to the identity of this special animal. Who knew that unicorns could swim?

Yay, It's Finntasia's Fishnet Friday, only not quite so jolly this time.
This particular fishing net and rope were washed up on shore yesterday, completely drenched and suffocated by thick, black oil.
Who knows where it came from - as we've recently discovered with a container ship sinking a few miles off the coast, the lost cargo and other effects do not reach shore where or when they're always expected.
