Remnants of scripture on a pillar
Holy Trinity holds deep roots; there is evidence of a Christian community from the c7th, the chancel dates from the c11th, and it is depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry (as being from where Harold sailed to Normandy in 1064).
The church itself has three phases to its life - Saxon, Norman and Early English (c13th).
Bosham ("Bos'm") has been occupied since the Roman period, continuing into the Saxon period (with Bede referring to the area in 681).
Cnut the Great is alleged to have commanded the sea back here (less out of hubris, more to show his devout faith).
Harold Godwinson held the manor here, and the Domesday Book (1086) lists Bosham as one of the wealthiest manors.
In the Medieval period Bosham was an important harbour.
We've been trying to make it a nightly thing to do memory verses with
the kids. They are in AWANA on Wednesday nights at church so they each
have books with memory verses in them. They are so good at remembering
verses! Issac is currently memorizing John 14:6 - Jesus said to him,
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father
except through Me." Pretty long but he just nailed it!

I had a request to put Scripture on some of my favorite images, so I will be adding some of my favorite verses. No comments are needed but if you want to, by all means, please do! Thanks for enjoying them!
we heard "stop it guys, birthday saturday" whenever anyone was talking, reading scriptures, or even if the dog was barking. No one was going to interrupt this girls 2nd birthday. She wanted a "big barbie cake" and we got her a new bike which she was thrilled with. All about pink right now!!
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:31-32
