Total screentime per character. Lost Season 4, detailing screentime per episode.

The arrival of smartphones has changed our daily lives to such an extent that the very use of this device has led to a good number of new behaviours. New attitudes are manifold, daily and for the most part unconscious. In a digital world where behaviour changes faster than new words can be created to describe them. A Screentime Connaisseurs Lexicon studies some of this behaviour through a series of neologisms that enable us to better understand certain addictions, means of resistance and social biases.

@____@;; This is getting a bit on the absurd side... Nekuri got tagged by cinnasmum, Shimiko got tagged by bee_couture and Pickles got tagged by smilingxcat but my camera battery died before I got to her, so she'll have to wait till tomorrow...

In case you're still not sure what's going on, this is a meme for dolls, that was started by a meme for humans...

The rules are as follows:

1 - Take a picture of you NOW!

2 - You can not change your clothes or comb your hair!

3 - If you are without eyelashes, chips, or a wig, you will have to be the same, without!

4 - Do not edit or photoshop!

5 - Tag five dolly friends!!

I guess I cheated by "editing" them into a diptych, but I'm getting sick of how much room they're taking up on my flickr! lol. I also did pull them out of their box, and "pose" them over by the window with the cat-carrier. But that's because the sun was setting and I didn't have a lot of light, they're still nasty and grainy, so you should be happy with that...

And I'm totally running out of people to tag T__T I feel like everyone's already been tagged, or if they haven't, it's because they don't want to be tagged. Not to mention, from my last tagging only 2/5 people actually took a picture... so I think I'll just play it safe with two people this time.

- cinnasmum - I want a picture of all your dolls that aren't in mid-customization or anything. Seriously, they deserve screentime, too!!!

- neyahala - Mousie!! I don't even know your new little girl's name, but I want more pictures of her :D And if you do want to take a little time and dress her or pose her or whatever, I don't mind. I just want to see more pictures ^___^;;

So busy at the moment! I'm spending way too much time with 'mac'.

Between fun stuff like 365, flickr and facebook and the time I spend on the computer for work, emails, student blog challenges, interactive whiteboard lessons, programming etc etc etc. it's no wonder my eye sight is deteriorating!

I don't think I'm this bad but...

"The average daily usage for all screens, in some countries, has reached 9 hours per day. This is for recreational use of screens and does not include work time.

On average, people watch 4 hours of television and then spend another 4 plus hours with computers, games, video, iPods and cell phones."

Same spot, different evening. Why admire the scene when you can look at your screen?

Man, movieverse Demolisher has probably the goofiest design for a Transformer ever. (Which is saying quite a lot)

So of course I had to have him. His two minutes of screentime were pure unadulturated ridiculous awesome.

*Sigh*

Oh, movieverse Ironhide...

You're the main reason I liked the first one more then I should, the main reason I went 'Oh hell naw' over 'Revenge of the Fallen' for his heavily trimmed screentime and downright REFUSE to watch Dark of the Moon because of his death scene and how it's apparently handled.

What can we do in the face of the ever-worsening climate crisis? This project titled Alignment Problem presents two apps that attempt to have an effect. The first app limits your screentime on your phone based on the carbon emissions associated with its usage. It links your digital wellness to ecological limits, but it is a fig leaf: a few grams of carbon saved is nothing substantial. The second app takes a different tack: it collects pledges of money toward buying a company responsible for 1% of global emissions and running it into the ground.

The smartphone is a boon in today’s world but clearly a health bane. The health issues arising out of too much smartphone usage are highlighted here.

Get the Green Lanterns that got a total of eight seconds of screentime on the big screen!

As parents ourselves, we believe that there is a need for play facilities that offer a wide range of play options for children other than inflatables and trampolines. Our goal was to create a play space in which children of different age groups can have fun together under 1 roof! There are few facilities that can meet the play needs of both a 2 year old and a 10 year old.

Introducing….Hyper Kidz! Our facility features soft foam play equipment with slow moving parts, a unique dress, and a fun theme. Hyper Kidz also has multiple party rooms to host children's birthdays as well as special events or celebrations for groups, camps, sports teams, field trips, and organizations.

We strongly believe in the power of play and its ability to develop and enhance children's social skills, critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, fine and gross motor skills, and social etiquette. Hyper Kidz is the perfect option to reduce screentime and encourage active and physical play.

Our bright, soft, and visually open play area ensures children's safety, while challenging them to climb, run, think, interact, explore, chase their imaginations, and have fun. Hyper Kidz offers year-round, climate-controlled fun for children ages 0-13.

Kids screen time should be limited and always be monitored. The information available to them online is amazing. Movies, television shows, personally uploaded videos, advertisements and chat rooms can influence kids more than we would like to think.

Kenneth doing a magic trick. No la, he jus opening the packet. Qing Hong getting screentime.

People always ask how we do it without screentime for the kids at home. Tak penat ke? I think it’s more of kita dah terbiasa without screentime at home. The husb and I engage the kids with anything and everything I guess. Lol. ❤️

Yesterday I had quite a lot of screentime, which made me feel bad and lazy, but also sick.

So today I decided to recreate my hate of computers.

The world is quickly becoming too reliant on computers (recreation, education, uni assessment, social media) and I really don't like that.

Says me who's on a computer every day to upload a photo.

Regardless, I wouldn't be sad at all if all the personal computers stopped working.

I created the zoomy writing in camera, so the only editing was combining both exposures (OF THE WRITING ON-SCREEN AND OF THE MAC BODY)

Spring means Gargantuan Man Boy is here for a week. His stay in the house was brief this year since we are leaving for Turkey today, but it was filled with screentime nonetheless - here we get a glimpse of him actually OUTSIDE his room because the wireless Internet in there isn't working and he had the good sense not to whine about that. I am pleased that he is now old enough to not beg me to fix it but to just wait his turn for the family computer.
