mesh wire screen (size 43) coated with light sensitive emulsion using a scoop coater (strong legs to balance screen against wall), image, glass----about to expose my image under the UV exposure unit. UV light hardens the emulsion and will not wash away while blocked image will wash away allowing ink through

Brand new purse to my collection. Constructed from the beautiful hand screen printed fabric by Sydney textile designer Melbomba.
Masking off the text for the first batch of prints, and then removing it for the rest, allows me to have an 'artprint' version of the poster, without any of the text.
Just finished working on the poster for the Charalambides concert on November 27 at The Orange Show. This 13" by 22" poster was a simple three color job but I got some new paper (French Paper’s Speckletone Chocolate) that I wanted to experiment with.
I used three screens with the same image burned into the emulsion. I just taped off the areas that I did not want ink to penetrate. This is the dark red color of the head and two claws.
sooo end of my senior year i was basically using a lot of public domain images of animals and whatnot (which, unfortunately, is all that anyone does anymore) to sell to friends at school. and actually, on the internet.
My first screenprint, done at a work shop at Print Club London. Worth a visit, very helpful teachers .
Some of the things I screenprinted at AIR last night with my helper (i.e. companion, occasional irritant).
