This is the brooch I made for the Flowerpress brooch swap - it's a screenprint on calico, backed with a bit of wool felt and some interfacing.

These are sandwiched between the glass and emulsified screen (didn't photograph the emulsifying step). I usually double them up to make sure it's good and dark, though you could probably get away with a single layer. They're backwards because this is the bottom of the screen you're looking at.
This is the only *half* decent prink i got from my silkscreen so far. Absolutely unsellable, which is good, because I can keep it for myself.
Display your love for the elements with this baby pillow!
This pillow was made by silk screening on beautiful, high quality cotton fabric by yours truly.
This pillow is inspired by my Periodic Table of Elements Quilt.
If you have a favorite element, send me an email and I can make is just for you!
Be cuddly with your chemistry! Each pillow is approximately 3x3 inches.
Always quite nervous at this point too. Some scrap paper underneath the screen for the first few prints, since they're always a bit splotchy.
Adepto Salvus is one of the most technically complex prints I've made. Interference inks are used to create the illusion of vanishing patterns and figures. As the angle of view shifts, the figures literally become nearly transparent and reappear in shiny iridescence. The background patterns also shift in color and merge together as you view them. There are 15 monoprints, each one unique. This is the first in my new series of "special effects" screen prints.
12"x12" Three color screenprint on Fibermark Touche-- the most sensual paper you've never touched ;)
This is a experimental screenprint I did early on in my printmaking. I did this one with many layers. It has an element of meditation as related to Indian tradition. This is an expression of how I feel it is. The playfulness and blacklight effect were a style I had been experimenting with at the time.
