Oil, Epoxy Resin and screen print on board

This card is home made form scratch.

I screen printed the doves in grey and red, cut them out and stuck them on gold card with foam squares.

This series of 6 combination hand drawn and screen-printed collage pieces contain a world inside a small apartment. The repetitive nature of routines and habits associated with domestic life manifest them selves physically through a multiplication of household objects and a doubling and tripling of the figured character.

This is a unique work.

These patterns will make their way into my latest work. Can't hardly wait.

Screenprint 3 colors

This almost worked. The idea was to screenprint the outline. Then fill it in with a stencil I had cut, the reprint the outline.

The problems I had were:

1. I freaking took the screen off to clean it because I was worried about the ink drying into it. That automatically introduced some misalignment.

2. Because of issue 1, I was lazy with stenciling the fill layer. ;)

It turned out ok though, it's only misaligned by a few millimeters. So the next batch should be better.

I started work last night on this, which is the first layer of a screenprint of the unknown shoemaker and robber from Washington State whose mugshot I was sent by Mark. I'll work up a few other layers, including one with little flying devils on it, I think, before I take it down to the printmakers workshop.

As part of Glasgow’s Active Ageing Week, a community group from 'Keep Creative', an arts and health GP referral programme, run by Depot Arts in North Glasgow took part in our ‘Growing Bolder’ Printmaking and Archive Project.

The group learned about fine art printmaking techniques and had a tour of the facilities. Here, members of the group are researching prints online.

Bleach discharge (screenprinted, painted, and tritik), handmade cord, piecing with various found fabric, glass vials.

This is stuffed but lays flat against the wall, so it sort of swells out.

The lower picture shows the second-last state of the print, with two orange layers and a blue layer printed. The upper picture shows the black layer printed on top of the others.

I took a picture of the acetate separations when I was working on them. It's here.

One of two, but each is unique. Paper is about 10 inches by 14 inches, with a deckle edge.
