Shooting the image on the screen of a cell phone? So cliche!! I even have a couple of them buried somewhere deep in my photostream.
I really like how this one turned out, the cotton candy pinks are so tasty ... and guess what? SOOC!! How cliche is that?
~Happy Cliche Saturday~
Well we dodged that one!
The small fair ground at stoneham barns was a nice location for photos although the girl taking the photos had a few issues with her camera. It was a new toy of hers and she is in no way a professional. That said she did as a good a job as one who I did a shoot with the year.
Think I might have this one as my screen saver
No talk these days. No smiles anymore. No conversation.
It's all screens. Screens and then screens and then screens.
And screens inside screens. Like mine when I took this shot.
And now screens inside a screen inside another screen. Yours.

The Choir Screen at Lincoln Cathedral was built in the 1330's - it separated the clergy and choir from the congregation.
The Willis Organ was built in 1898 and has approx 4000 pipes - most of which are hidden in the gallery.

About Silver Screen
A silver screen, also known as a silver lenticular screen, is a type of projection screen that was popular in the early years of the motion picture industry and passed into popular usage as a metonym for the cinema industry. The term silver screen comes from the actual silver (or similarly reflective aluminum) content embedded in the material that made up the screen's highly reflective surface.
HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !!
Instead of calling my photo "A Shot Screen"
I was going to call it "A Screen Shot"
but it isn't a screen shot, so I didn't.😎
This is an artsy askew view of the vandalized window screen
covering an unglazed window. The window is at "standing-adult eye level"
on the exterior wall of a tiny old storage house or garden shed.
The window is less than a meter from a public walking path next to a park,
so it was easy to photograph.
NB - What appears to be white paint isn't. It's "bird paint."
Location: Storage house or garden shed on the grounds
of a small apartment house, Riehen BS Switzerland.
In my album: Dan's Windows.
SUGGESTION: Allow video to load all the way before you hit 'play'. You'll miss some neat animation if you don't.
I designed and animated these characters for the company I used to work for, Primal Screen, in 2006. It was for Primal's DVD Show Reel. This has won several design awards. I loved working on these guys. Loads of fun. I animated them in pencil and paper and then had the drawings scanned into Photoshop, composited together in After Effects, and outputted QT movies into Flash. There, animator Joe Kubesheski traced over my rough pencil animation to create the final look of the characters and their movements. He did some tweaking here and there, as well. Overall design and concept by Rick Newcomb. Sound design by Stephen Mank. He's the man.
I originally uploaded this on YouTube, but DANG. This looks much, much better. I'm impressed. I know that a lot of people are down on Flickr for adding videos, but hey, I'm okay with it if they can keep the quality of the videos looking like this.
More about this on the blog.

RD21520C. Great Western Steam Railmotor No. 93 at the Didcot Railway Centre.
This unique vehicle was originally built in 1908, but converted to an unpowered auto-trailer in 1935. The Great Western Society have therefore had to have a new boiler and power bogie manufactured as well as re-building the rest of the vehicle.
Although a major undertaking, this was successfully completed in 2013 and the result is a credit to all those involved in its return to steam.
I also took some video starring the amazing Steam Railmotor while I was at Didcot and this is now on YouTube. To make viewing easier, I have broken it down into three bite-sized chunks and here are the links:

This is a screen shot from that video.
