The mate perched about 20ft above the nest screamed if any other bird/raptor flew over the nest. They have an amazing range in their necks.

The Scream
In the garden we like to think and dream.
That silence can be attained and our mind we can clean.
If only we could see what the plants think of this theme.
As we walk across where their homes have been.
Would they invite us in or scream.

They don't get much prettier and more serene than Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. On this day it was screaming gorgeous, you might say. That's because, and bear with me on this, that snowy area at the base of the mountain just left of center, and reflected in the water, looks a whole lot like the horrified, macabre face in Edvard Munch's "The Scream". I saw it immediately and can't unsee it. Talk about a visual non sequitur! You see it, right, or am I just weird? (Both things can be true.) Anyway, that aside, I liked what the clouds were doing in this scene, and the turquoise water and those stunning mountain peaks really make this a magical place.
My little love was yawwwing during my shooting session but for me it's more like she is screaming and preparing to hit someone like a snake

We were screaming along in our car after a long day visiting the temples at Angkor Wat when I spotted these monks. "Stop the car" I shouted to the driver. Hopped out, ran back about a 1/4 mile and snapped this shot out of breath and puffing hard.
Fortunately I was here for practice and qualifying so I got to see this car before an unfortunate early retirement in the race. Sounds different than I last recall, largely due to the side exhausts. Still the best sounding car on the track.

The crested screamer is the most common of the three living species of Anhimidae, a family that belongs to the order of Anseriformes—although it doesn’t look like it—just like ducks and geese.

A Screaming Piha has the last laugh at the San Diego Zoo. It's the loudest thing in the hummingbird house.
The image was created from two iphone shots, both taken with the hipstamatic app using different lens/film combos. I blended both images together in superimpose. I then edited in snapseed and scratchcam to achieve the final result. The background was taken in London near Piccadilly circus and the foreground was taken in speakers corner, hyde park. I was trying to create an image that spoke of futility and rage against the world and thought these two images worked to that final effect.
The owls were loud today, screaming at other snowys close by and a few chases. Incredible to watch, all 20 of them! Unfortunate that we were too far for shots

For those that celebrate, hope you had a Happy Halloween! Took this shot of my wife some time ago, hamming it up with this huge spider and web. Edited for Sliders Sunday. HSS!
Reasonably happy how this shot came out from yesterday's trip out with the K3.
