With a nod to Dadaist photomontage, Surrealism and Herbert Bayer here is a 21st century version of "The Scream".
If no one else is around, can someone still hear you scream?
A young adult Eagle being very clear about territory. The leg is dropped as this is a total body scream, 1st time I have ever witnessed that much intensity.

...Among the millions of rocks on the beach, this one kind of screamed out to me... Nature's own take on Edvard Munch's world famous painting "the Scream" from 1893. Appropriately enough found in his own home country. Is this how you feel Mother Earth? -Screaming from the core of your bedrock?
Scream 4 is an American slasher film and the fourth installment in the Scream series. It was directed by Wes Craven. It stars an ensemble cast of David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere.

The Scream is the popular name given to a composition created by Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch in 1893. The original German title given by Munch to his work was Der Schrei der Natur, and the Norwegian title is Skrik. The agonised face in the painting has become one of the most iconic images of art, seen as symbolising the anxiety of the human condition.
This huge rock stands at least 30 metres high and has a resemblance to a screaming eagle.

I think I figured out why my throat is so sore today. It's full of recursivity. This was my first image to ever be viewed over 20,000 times! Thanks Everyone!
Please check out the redone version of this image Eternal Scream 3 as it corrects the flaws in this version, including the jaggies around the teeth.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating and stay safe! ❤️❤️❤️
Screaming Turtle! Or maybe it's laughing? Juvenile loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta). (West Palm Beach, Florida)
This was a turtle that was rescued by researchers after not making it out of its nest. After being raised for a bit in captivity, we released them into the wild. This was its first moment in the ocean.
Taken with Canon D60, Sea & Sea housing, 2 x Ikelite DS-125 strobes.

D706's pair of SD40-2s are pulling for all they're worth as they lug their 92 car train up the hill towards Fox. People can say what they want about Alcos, EMD 567s and the like, but to me there is nothing more awesome than the sound of a screaming EMD 645 engine.

As the full moon rises over the mountain ridge, the moon's orbit is at its closest approach (perigee) making this full moon a "supermoon". The dark areas on the moon remind me of a face, of Edvard Munch's famous expressionist artwork called "The Scream".

This shot used the double pixel feature of the 5d4. Produced a RAW file of 61mb; very testing indeed of the kit available to process the image. According to what I read, Canon's DPP 4 utility seems to be the only software able to deal with these huge clumsy files; this was transferred from DPP as a TIFF to PShop. I could have gone and made a pot of coffee and some sandwiches in the time that took...
My granddaughter throwing a full on strop because she couldn't have an ice cream :D to be fair it was the end of a very long days walking and I've never seen her throw one quite like this before lol PS: She isn't left alone here her mum n dad are also with her.
The mate perched about 20ft above the nest screamed if any other bird/raptor flew over the nest. They have an amazing range in their necks.
Captured in the verdant backdrop of Mocagua Comunidad Indígena, Amazonas, Colombia, this striking photograph features the Horned Screamer, Anhima cornuta, in its natural habitat. The bird’s distinct silhouette, marked by its ‘horned’ crest, contrasts beautifully against the lush foliage, characteristic of the Amazonian landscape. This image offers a glimpse into the serene yet vibrant world where this species thrives.
As a bird photographer, I strive to immortalize the spirit of such unique species through my lens. This shot not only showcases the Horned Screamer’s physical attributes but also echoes the tranquility of its surroundings by the Amazon River. It's a visual narrative that intertwines the bird's existence with the ecological tapestry it calls home, aiming to evoke appreciation and a drive for conservation.
