Scrawled on the back is:
"Say Will, I'm sending you a little token for your Birthday it ain't much but just enough to let you know I'm thinking of you and I hope you'll make good use of it - don't put it away for I bought it to be used and its yours to keep when you get it. I'm not feeling well at all today but I hope to get over it again. Yesterday, while at Port Elliot waiting for dawn, I was in a very indecisive mood as to whether to head down to the beach for the dawn light or stay up among the rocks. I was looking for interesting rocks to photograph with the full moon but none were far enough to make to focal lengths work well so I ended up taking a couple of wide angle shots of the various rocks on display there
