The entrance to "Bits at Micks" scrapyard in Lenton, Nottingham. This view is from Gibbons Street, the back entrance to the yard I believe.

Three Lensbaby photos, blended in Photoshop to create a faux multiple-exposure-like image that appears to be flowers growing out of metal scraps on the ground. The out-of-focus background helps to enhance the focus on the flowers, making them the undeniable center of attention. The combination creates a dreamy, almost ethereal effect with a blurry sense of time passing and a touch of abstraction.

A wonderful collection of old "stuff"…and a fence, of course.
Taken on Farm Helenenhof near Otjiwarongo.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

This is my last picture made by Midjourney version 3. To close this chapter, a scrapyard scene might be a suitable subject. My following pictures will by Midjourney version 4, which is a major step forward.
Beside using Midjourney, I also applied the Arizona filter from Aviary. The Aviary app disappeared from the app stores years ago, but I still have an .apk I can use to run it on my latest Android devices.
With 3 carloads of cornstarch FP7A #243 is rolling East towards Elkins where they will spend some time spotting up the scrapyard
MVPX SW7 0008 resting in downtown Nashville at SA Recycling. Its Conrail blue is still showing, although in rough shape.
On Sunday 13th September 1987, 47482 eases out of Chesterfield with the 1050 Penzance to Edinburgh service.
The train illustrates a typical formation of the period for long distance InterCity trains in 1987. Class 47s with Mark 2 air-conditioned coaches operated the vast majority of such trains.
The liveries shown are also typical: the large logo livery carried by the class 47 was widespread but was being replaced by InterCity mainline, but overall rail blue was also still commonplace.
The coach liveries are also common for the period: coaches were gradually being re-liveried into InterCity livery from blue/grey.
47482 was nearly 23 years old at the time of my image: it soldiered on for another 6 years before its last trip to a scrapyard in 1993.

Created in Deep Dream Generator.Galactic Scrapyard where all space debris is processed before being recycled or sent for destruction.
A Trans Pennine Class 185 crosses the Batley Carr Tunnel working 1E35 Lime Street to Scarborough with the former trackbed of the Great Northern Railway now home to Dewsbury Car Breakers providing some foreground interest.
Still wearing the same attire from EMD's ‎La Grange, Illinois plant where it was built in January 1965, Hartwell Railroad GP35 3044 stands at Lavonia, Georgia on April 10, 2016. 3044 was retired from class one service in August 1995.
Joe and his Molly dog look at workers in the scrap yard. Behind them, his bright yellow hot rod sedan.
This is my last creation of the year, this is how I end the hot rod miniseries! I thank Calin who inspired me for cars.
A return trip to the "local" scrap yard allowed captures of all the goodness I missed the first time around. One of the few shots of weeds I purposely took. Liked the combo of neutrals in the frame... how Autumn-ish.
The Hamilton Camera Club had an outing at JML Metal Recycling to photograph the "junk" and this is one of my shots. If you look close, the key is in the ignition!!

A very sad looking AN68 Atlantean, number 468 at Lathalmond and although some restoration work has been done I understand she has already gone to the scrapyard.
This is rather unfortunate as 465, bought by the Tyne and Wear Bus Preservation, has also been used for spare parts.
A sad ending then for another great work horse in Edinburgh, from the mid 1970's to 1992. I can remember when this fleet group was new just shortly after I left school.
