Found on a scrapyard in germany in recent times. Pretty much a small miracle to find a car of this age on a german scrapyard.

If you were to arrive at Truro by water - this is the view that would greet you . Taken from one of The Enterprise Boats boat tours from Trelissick Gardens you can see this pile opposite the Sunny Corner area .

Not a lot of RM 1309 left at Norths Scrapyard on 4 November 1982. Most of the fifty RMs that went to Norths were fully intact. Some had bits missing from them - but nothing major. And a few were seriously robbed having been laid up on LT premises for some time including this one which had spent the best part of three years in a corner of Catford Garage slowly donating various parts to keep others on the road.

Off road at least 16 years.

Where is wall-E when you need him?

On Tour with bonnix (Scotty). He posted the same scenery with some more wide angle so check it out. It's cool to see how different everyones style of processing is.

I hope I find the negatives one day and see what else is on the film and maybe get reprints of these faded and discoloured survivors too.

From Wikipedia:

Woodham Brothers Ltd.

It is noted globally for its 1960s activity as a scrapyard (hence its colloquial name of Barry Scrapyard), where 297 withdrawn British Railways steam locomotives were sent, from which 213 were rescued for the developing railway preservation movement.

Andrew Barclay Works No 1245 0-6-0T languishes at Easter Balbeggie, along with ten others. Also in the shot is Bagnall "Austerity" type 2759, which left to go to the Lochty Private Railway.

Despite being totally neglected for thirty odd years, in 2004 No. 10 was purchased and moved to the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway for restoration.

Work was intensive and after only 19 months it steamed again on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway where it was completed in a Caledonian Blue livery.

As far as I know, four of these locos are still there.
